Comments about DENON AVR2308CI - 7.1 Channel Receiver - with free 3 year extended warranty:

This unit is so good, that I own 2 now (One for basement and one for upper 2 levels). The unit is very versatile. One of the main reasons I bought this unit is that it has HDMI audio and video capability which many receivers lack (generally they will only have video in/out and you have to add separate audio cables). Sound quality is very clean. Setup is a little bit difficult, but not that tedious either.
Cons: Remote is way to complicated.

Comments about DENON AVR2308CI - 7.1 Channel Receiver - with free 3 year extended warranty:

This Denon A/V Receiver is amazing. You should not purchase this unit, however, if you are unwilling to take the time to read the manual. The remotes can be a little bit "non-typical." I spent needless hours trying to get A/V to work with my new Blu Ray. Finally, I reset the microprocessor, and, "Wah-lah!" The auto speaker setting technology must be the best in the industry. You should hear what it does to your speakers!

Comments about DENON AVR2308CI - 7.1 Channel Receiver - with free 3 year extended warranty:

Denon receivers have always been difficult to set up and this one is no exception. Beyond that the AVR2308CI doesn't upconvert non-HDMI sources. While it has "Night Mode" audio, it lacks a "Sleep" function, a feature that's standard on almost every non-Denon receiver. The main remote is two-sided, but the most commonly used source buttons are on opposite sides. Denons sound great and provide a terrific picture if you are able to get past the difficulties in setting them up, and can forgive their quirky features.
