Comments about Denon AVR-2310CI 7.1 CH A/V Home Theater Multi-Source/Multi-Zone Receiver:

I bought this as a drop-in replacement for my aging Denon AVR-2800 to add HDMI capabilities to my system. The amp sounds identical to the old one, which I am very happy about.

An added bonus that I wasn't even shopping for was that the Analogue -> Digital converter in this unit are vastly superior to the old stand alone dongle that I used to use for connecting legacy equipment to my digital flatscreen. This breaths some extra life into my older equipment.

My only complaint about this receiver is that compared to my 9 year old AVR-2XXX, I think denon cheapened the physical build. The knobs and face appear to be plastic, rather than aluminum.
