Comments about Harnan/Kardon AVR2600 7.1 Channel A/V Receiver w/ HDMI Repeater:

I'd always wanted a Harman Kardon product, but based primarily on my desire to have electronics that are aesthetically pleasing as well as high performing. While I did due diligence on all mid-range AVRs, I plumped for the 2600 because of the way it looked, it's fit for my size of room and it's ease of set up. I'd heard horror stories of how difficult these things are to set up, calibrate and operate optimally, so ease of set up was important. I'm not a person who watches films every night (2 x week), or a lot of TV, but I buy the best I can afford of anything, and the 2600 fits that category. It was incredibly easy to set up with the Bose Acoustimass 10 speakers I have with the on-screen display and navigation a breeze. The remote control also looks good and works just as well, taking the place of all the others I have for cable, TV and BD player. But, when I turned it on, and played my first BD movie . . . the smile on my face and look of disbelief on my wife's (who was sceptical to say the least) said it all.

This AVR at the end of the day is AWESOME! It's got a GREAT look and finish to it. Excellent Features, and after I paired this unit up with a Set of JBL 5.1 surround system it sounds AMAZING! Quality sound you would expect from a Harman Kardon and PLENTY of power! Push the dial on this AVR and you will feel what your listening too! Only weird thing that did happen upon hooking up was once powered on for the first time it went straight into a Surge "PROTECT" mode for some reason??? I was VERY Disappointed at first but when I just left it alone and came back home later to recheck my connections I powered it on and it engaged flawlessly and has been put through it's runs ever since without a SINGLE skip in performance.... I'm ENTIRELY SATISFIED with my purchase and couldn't be happier at this point! [...]
