Comments about Pioneer VSX1120K 7.1 AV receiver Multichannel PQLS RS-232 port:

This AV amp has proven to be a perfect match for my 58" Panasonic plasma display and Blu-Ray player. You would think that everything was the same brand. The sound quality is great, and it is easy to switch between different surrounds modes—especially when controlling it with the Web Control System. It passes through video from my cable box and Blu Ray player without any apparent artifacts. (I would recommend that you turn off the digital video conversion when not using analog sources. As some reviewers have noted, this improves the picture slightly when viewing sources input via HDMI.)

There doesn't seem to be much that it doesn't do, and it will take me a while to get around to testing all of its capabilities. The IPod connector works well and makes for seamless integration. Nothing about this amp has disappointed me yet.

Comments about Pioneer VSX1120K 7.1 AV receiver Multichannel PQLS RS-232 port:

I upgraded my receiver as I am planning to go 3D. Luckily I sold my Denon and was able to get the 1120 for a good price. I am Pioneer fan and usually stick with the Elite products. After reading the details this receiver had only couple of differences from the Elite VSX-32 (Cosmetic, 12 V trigger and 1 year warranty)
This thing has been wonderful so far doesn't falter no matter how hard I have pushed. PC control is the way to go (even though I have harmony remote I still fidn myself using it) 6 HDMI's and features that put it in the same league as more expensive receivers. I would be hard pressed to find something of this quality up to 1K. Only complain has been the cumbersome Bass management I had spend some time to get it right.
I highly recommend the 1120.

Comments about Pioneer VSX1120K 7.1 AV receiver Multichannel PQLS RS-232 port:

I will just say after a ton of research and questions asked, I am very happy with my decision to purchase the Pioneer VSX 1120. Easy set up, great compatibility with other components, and features that would cost you hundreds of dollars more with other brands. Couldn't be happier (until the next "latest-greatest" receiver comes out!).

Comments about Pioneer VSX1120K 7.1 AV receiver Multichannel PQLS RS-232 port:

I use the receiver to listen to music (Internet Radio and iPod Nano), watch movies (BluRay & DVD), I am also converting old VHS tapes to DVD (For movies that I will not get on BluRay and don't have on DVD). The receiver does a much better job at displaying VHS signals via HDMI than my Onkyo TX-SR 606. I haven't been able to get the VSX 1120K to show DTS-HD MA, Dolby True on the display. I have a PS-3 connected via HDMI and have tried both Bitstream and PCM with no success. I tried various movies that had the above mentioned codecs and made sure the appropriate codec was selected. I will continue trying. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and will be purchasing a 3D TV shortly to view Avatar. Should be awesome.

Comments about Pioneer VSX1120K 7.1 AV receiver Multichannel PQLS RS-232 port:

Despite the user manual when I got everything hooked up the remote control was a breeze to use.
The sound and image quality was better than the price point suggests. I looked very closely at the Elite SC35 and for the price difference I went with the VXS11020K.
