I have CDs that present orchestras first recorded on 78, but no matter what I play the sound from this Pioneer product is outstanding. I have a DVD and VCR connected and both the sound and video are exceptional. This is great for the perfectionist who wants great sound and video.

Have 2 other Pioneer AV Receivers. This was most complex to setup. Queried Pioneer tech support-took 3 days to respond. Although this is HDMI receiver, HDMI CANNOT be used to show on-screen setup: MUST use component or composite video.
