Comments about Pioneer VSX919AHK 7.1 Channel A/V Receiver:

I have this receiver along with PS3 and XBox 360 through HDMI (no HDMI switching problems at all), to Samsung 52in (also bought from Abes for cheapest price available), and Take 5 Classic sats with 12in Premium Acoustics 12in Sub. There isn't anything else that I could expect from this receiver. I'm far from an audiophile but by the time I received the equipment I had figured out what to expect and how to operate it all without a single problem. Binding posts are a little close together so fatter fingers may have trouble (I didn't). Remote is a little oldschool but is completely functional. iPod scrolling is slower than iPod scrolling but far from an issue (iPod sounds great). Pros easily outweigh the cons. Entire system plays flawlessly so far (owned and assembled for three weeks now). Cool dimmer feature so as not to be a distraction. Plays streaming radio / songs through my PS3 with no problem. I have never listened to music and couldn't name more than 5 songs if you asked me to but ever since the system has been hooked up I can't stop waking up the neighbors with my jams (not to mention pristine explosions from Fallout 3 and all the blu-ray classics. MCACC works great but I fine tuned it with ease. On screen GUI makes setup a breeze. This is my first receiver and after less than a week I feel completely comfortable controlling and fine tuning every option available on the device. I am convinced that I am getting the best sound that the PS3 is capable of outputting and can't wait to spend numerous paychecks on new video games and blu-ray movies. (LCD display is not red unless flashphotography is used to take the picture :D )[...]
