These headphones are great. The sound is awesome and way less than comparable professional models. It's hard to figure out which attachment fits best and provides the best sound. I highly recommend custom ear molds from Sensaphonics for the SCL 5 headphones. After going to an audiologist and getting impressions taken, he or she will send the impressions to Sensaphonics, which make custom ear molds. This makes the headphones way more comfortable and improves the sound exponentially because the molds provide a much better seal than the provided attachments. Either way, the SCL 5's are a big step up from the 4's because of the inline crossover and dual drivers. My primary use is when I am playing drums. The 5's allow me to hear the bass playing, bottom range of the keys, and my kick drum way better than the 4's because of the separate bass driver. I would definitely recommend these headphones, especially if you are a musician.

Comments about SHURE SCL5CL Noise Isolating Headphones - Clear:

On stage, these are the best nonfitted in-ear monitors I have ever used. I play bass so the low end is important. The low end was crisp and clear. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the cord is not detachable. If something happens to the cord, the entire system is useless. Abes of Maine had, by far, the best price around.

I use them with a Behringer AMP800 headphone amp from a Peavy 8600 powered mixer for jamming with friends. With 3 others using headphones we can play quietly or thru a small stack. Fantastic!
