Comments about Shure E3 Sound Isolating Earphones (Gray):

its a balance between great sound and temperamental fit. i travel all the time and these phones really do isolate me from most ambient noise. i listen to just about all types of music (polka not so much) and these phones really respond well. the sound is great if the fit is correct. finding the right fit is not easy, however, especially if you plan to move around vigorously or (god forbid) chew while wearing them. i have tried every possible bud cover, but one ear fits great and the other falls out fairly frequently. the cords are sturdy, but the design of the phones requires the cord to go around the ear for proper fit and the stiffness of the cord can be a pain. my recommendation would be to purchase these somewhere where returns are accepted without question. if they fit you, you will be happy!

Comments about Shure E3 Sound Isolating Earphones (Gray):

The sound of the E3 is great IF you get a good fit. I spent $80 with a pro hearing aid shop to have custom ear molds done on me for best musical results and to block out road noise. The right bud quit working after 10 months. I sent them back to Shure, they sent me a new set in 10 days. I use these under my helmet while riding for hundreds of miles on my motorcycle. For[$], I would recommend these.
