Comments about Sangean HDR-1 HD Table-Top Radio:
The sound is great - which, of course is most important. However, we bought for bed-side use - clock feature and alarm etc. The problem is the backlight - even at lowest setting it lights the room in the dark. So, you have to shut it off completely - and even then a bright red but very small "standby" light goes on. Frustrating as the feature that sold it to us was the 5 backlight settings - thought it would be enough to go nice and low so you can see it but no so that it glows too bright. So, unless you don't mind the light, don't buy for bed-side use.
