Warning, The FM modulator is a joke, must be Physically wired into the car antennas, which takes away the mobility of using in different cars unless you purchase a car kit for in car you want to use it in. Pioneer Electronics customer service is poor. Promised me a call back ASAP, never received it. i recommend the Samsung version of this Radio, no hard wiring the cradle to cars antenna for the FM modulator to work.
Isn't the purpose of FM Modulation to make use of unit easy, flexible and mobile.

This radio has great features but battery only lasts approx. 5 hrs. Outdoor reception in NYC is good but I need to use an external antenna (which requires me to use the radio in its cradle)when I'm in Upstate NY.
