Comments about Boston Acoustics TVee Television Entertainment Speaker - Midnight:

Not home theatre quality sound, but way better than typical TV speakers.

Setup is very clean: The main speaker connects to the TV with two wires, and you connect AC power. The subwoofer is located remotely, and only requires AC power, no other wires.

The system responds to your existing remote control, so you don't have another remote to add clutter. And the system even powers itself down when no audio is received, so you don't have to worry about turning it off and on.

The manual says that if you have a TV with "variable audio output" then you don't have to bother programming the TVee to respond to your usual remote. Maybe this is true, but I found the sound volume low when used this way.

However, after I did the TVee programming (takes maybe 5 minutes), and set the little trim level switch on the back to position 3, I had lots of volume.

Comments about Boston Acoustics TVee Television Entertainment Speaker - Midnight:

Bought this to augment a 40" Samsung LED set that we have in a small room. We wanted a modest sound upgrade without wire runs, obtrusive speakers or a big price tag. The Boston unit meets all the requirements. Set-up was very easy, with a connection from the Samsung's audio-out jack. Pairing of the soundbar with the Samsung remote was straightforward. The sound is exactly what we expected: a modest upgrade. The sub woofer has good depth and really fills out the sound in our small room. The soundbar adds depth and richness. This is definitely not home theater level audio, but if you are looking for a simple upgrade to TV audio, the Boston Acoustics unit is a great deal.

It's powerfulo enought. However the woofer does nothing toreally enhance the sound/volume of dialogue and the the volume is hard to modulate.
