I had another maker Digital Unit before this one and I liked it, when I first got the Numark it took me awhile to get the hang of it, but now I love it and this is my 2nd unit I bought the DDS 80 first I have used it for about 2 years of hard mobile DJ indoors and outdoors this unit is solid
Nice feather is you can build a playlist on the fly

An excellent choice to integrate mp3's into your current system.

The DDS is a very stable controller, with no latency issues - so beatmixing and looping is spot on.

I have been reluctant to use a computer based / laptop based system. I still like the tactile ability to control the music.

There are great software products like Serrato Itch - however, you still need a computer - even if you have a midi controller. Why bring a computer in the process?

This system operates off the hard drive ONLY. A portable drive, an iPod, etc. No need to have a potentially finicky piece of equipment in the mix (laptop).

Give it a shot!

I do weddings from April to November, every weekend. I don't carry CDs anymore, just a couple hard drives. This equipment has been awesome for me, never a hiccup. I even actually started beat mixing a little!

I bought a D2 three years ago, fell in love with it, then bought an iDJ2 to use as back up. Upgraded to HDMIX last year, and decided to upgrade the D2 with DDS this year. The DDS with a Denon X500 board is my main system, HDMIX is backup. As you can see, I am sold on this product line!

The first time you run Librarian on your hard drive, it tales a while...hint; start it before you go to bed at night! After that, it's quick and easy to keep your HD updated.

This is a great piece of equipment, a great value, try it, you'll like it!
