When you turn up the volume you get a high pitch hum. We run it through an amp and it makes no difference whether you turn the volume up on the amp and use low vol. on the CD or vise - versa. When you eject a cd, you can hear it over the speakers like your stomach is growling times 10. Sorry, this is not a professional unit.
