The Numark iDJ2 is the only iPod mixing console that provides full control of your music with realtime scratching (via two jog wheels), a large LCD screen and crate management. DJs can easily change tempo without affecting pitch. The iDJ2 features a fresh and innovative new iPod docking system that allows users to play and mix two songs simultaneously from a single iPod without the need of a computer. Users can also hook up multiple mass storage devices including additional iPods®, thumb drives, and external USB hard drives through rear panel USB ports. In addition to USB connectivity, the iDJ² comes complete with line inputs for audio sources including a microphone, CD players and turntables.

I got the IDJ2 apprx. three weeks ago and I feel that I could do gigs now. After the initial set up (which took 6 hours for my 80 gig iPod) I was able to do basic blends using the pitch controls. After getting more familar with the functions I can backspin, scratch and deal with the looping functions. I am learning something new each practice session. If you get this product the instructions with the unit will not help much, go to the Numark website and download the parts of the manual that you need. Great Deal!

The Idj2 is really a great buy,its well worth to have as a back up, ceremony unit, or just for small events. It has frozen a few times but never during a gig, its easily fixed by turning off for a few seconds then back on.It doesn't have much besides a loop,it could use one more though. It has no effects,which is fine by me. If you want to DJ with out the hassle of "UH-OH which case is that song in?" and still have controls like a cd player...this is the way to go.I would recommend it but not as your main unit!
