Comments about ION Audio LP 2 CD - Turntable with Built-in CD Recording:

I did have to send my turntable in for service. The lifting arm assembly for the tone arm failed which made it difficult to place the stylus on the record until it was fixed. That was a pain, but it was covered under the extended warranty[...] By far my biggest disapointment with the product is the poor transfer of the recorded sound. Maybe I am spoiled because I have a SOTA turntable for listening to my records, but this turntable and stylus package is just not up to the task of transfering the good quality of sound I expect. When I made my purchase I passed on the lower priced turntables that ION Electronics offered thinking the recording quality would be better by buying the top of the line ION turntable. With the limited specs that ION made available prior to my purchase, I should have known better. To my ears, the ION LP 2 CD does not fulfil the task I wanted it to do and that is to reproduce a quality recording, I cannot recommend this product.

Comments about ION Audio LP 2 CD - Turntable with Built-in CD Recording:

This turntable was exactly what I expected when I purchased it. I can not give a long term rating because I have not had it for a long time, only a few weeks, but I have used it to record a number of 12" records that I have onto a CD-R and it worked flawlessly. It is not difficult to use and the directions are strait forward. Next I plan on copying my mixed cassette tapes from back in the day to CD-R's. I will just have to connect my cassette deck to the turntable to accomplish this task. If I have some negatives that would make this the ultimate turntable would be direct drive instead of belt drive, being able to use CD-RW's as well as CD-R's, and a way to import the track titles onto the CD-R. For the price that the unit costs I would expect some of these additions to be part of the turntables features. All in all, I give it 4 out of 5 stars, but I cannot rate its long term reliability.

Comments about ION Audio LP 2 CD - Turntable with Built-in CD Recording:

I have tried to make CDs from a USB turntable and vinyl to computer files to burn CD. What a hassle. Now with the LP2CD turntable it is a breeze. I have converted 20 LPs to CDs with NO hassle. The turntable guides you through the process. you can set your own tracks or the turntable will do it for you as it listens for silence. You can even reorder or delete tracks. You can take tracks from separate LPs and put them together. It's like making travel cassette tapes but only updated to CDs. I won't get rid of this turntable any time soon!

First of all, Numark and Ion are made by the same producer. Why pay $10 more for Numarks same product. This does exactly what they advertise and has some tricks, too.
