I did my research ahead of time, so there were no surprises (good or bad.) [...]This unit is quiet, sleek looking, extraneous lights can be turned off, firmware upgrades are easy (only wish Samsung was more forth coming with them,) plays 3D BD's well and standard DVDs looks great. Up conversion to 1080p would be nice, I'm sure with mixed results, but none the less, a feature other manufactures are offering.Works seamlessly with my Samsung PN50C8000 plasma TV (purchased at the same time from Abe's.) Only reason to keep the playsers remote around is the eject button, which for some reason samsung did not include on their upgraded remote with the plasma.NOTE: There are many functions you can not do with a disc in the unit or with the tray open. Kind of annoying, but it's not exactly a long walk.There are a decent # of setting options to allow for personalization and the internet apps work well as does the DLNA streaming.

What makes this 3D BluRay player so awesome is not only its great quality - but we also use it to get our television's online aps! It is truly compatible with our Samsung 8000 television and we've watched both BluRays and regular DVDs the quality in incomparable - just buy it!

I use Netflix and Pandora apps very often on this device... Streaming quality is good but at times, it does rebuffers...Standard DVD playback is awesome too.. This is really useful since not all titles are on Blu-Ray yet...

Easy Wi-Fi set up. I thought this would be the killer but it turned out simple even with WEP. Loading You Tube, Pandora, or Netflix is fast and easy. I highly recommend.

I would easily give this product an outstanding review. Well written, concise instruction manual. Great remote control. Awesome electronics.
Only issue is the wireless connection to the Intranet. Having issues, but do not believe that it is because of the product. Believe that the operator needs to pay attention to what he is doing.
