There was only one reason for me to call tech support i was using the wrong case i.e. (upper case lower case)to enter my PW to get in to my router. after that it was pointed out the set up was a pice of cake.

when using the on screen KB make sure your using upper or lower case letters. lol

READ THE OWNERS MANUAL COVER TO COVER IT CONTAINS A LOT OF GOOD INFORMATION.

In addition to Blu-Ray's 1080p superb picture, we have immensely enjoyed the included Netflix movie streaming and the Pandora internet radio (which were easily set up to work wirelessly on our home wifi network) - both just included extras and icing on the cake. Also included are You Tube and Blockbuster but we don't use those so can not comment about them.
Automatic notification of firmware upgrade which, once I performed it, updated the box from the BDP3600 to a BDP4600! No charge!!
Great product, excellent telephone support when I had one misunderstanding of the set up instructions.

A perfect match to my Samsung HDTV - when you attach the BDP3600 to a Samsung you only need the one remote and it automaticlly changes the setting from TV to DVD. I am also using the Netflix streaming to TV which is something a novice can do - wonderful DVD

Overall this is an excellent DVD player. I love that it's integrated with my Samsung LCD TV.
I have found that the remote is a little slow to respond, not sure if I should be using the TV remote for it. Maybe that's better.
Another thing is that it won't connect to my Apple WiFi network. My TiVo has no problem connecting.

I use this set up in my bedroom. I also have the Samsung soundbar. Although I read comments that referred to difficulty in setting up the Wi-Fi connection, it was pretty straight forward for me (I also have a WEP encryption). The only problems I initially experienced, which others have commented on, were having the picture freeze for a moment and then skip back several scenes and associated with that a disconnect between the audio and video. I called Samsung support and they had me reset the machine. I have not had a problem since then. It has also automatically upgraded t the next firmware version so I now can access You Tube and Blockbuster (which I do not use).

This Blu-Ray player has been fantastic so far. I've had it for about 3 weeks and watched quite a few dvd's and instant movies on Netflix. I am very impressed with the load times, image quality, and the over-all elegance of the player.

But, perhaps, the thing that impressed me the most is as follows. My wife and I never have enough time to watch movies in their entirety at one sitting, so we tend to stop them half way. In the past I used to have to push the info button and memorize the track number location so that I could fast foward a few days later to the exact spot that we had stopped it previously. We turned off a movie on DVD at the 1:35 location, then I turned off the player and the TV and didn't return to it for a few days. During that time, we watched some TV a couple of nights in a row with the player off. But, when we finally returned to the movie, I turned on the player, and miraculously, it started the movie in the exact spot that we had stopped watching it before...1:35. Very cool.

After lots of research this was my choice and I haven't been disappointed.
It's connected to my wireless network and I love the instant movies from Netflix (Blockbuster / U-tube also available).
My only frustration is having to set up wireless network again after firmware update.

I have been a member of NETFLIX for 5 years now and have been debating whether or not to get the Roku player but didn't want to add another box and remote to my setup. I was in the market for a BluRay player anyway so I settled on the 3600 because of the wireless dongle that is included ([$] if you buy separately) and it's Netflix/pandora capabilities. This dongle is worth it's weight in gold! And the Netflix and Pandora work phenomenally. I have noticed that Netflix streaming is at it's worst between 8pm and 10pm, which makes sense that everyone wants to watch a movie around that time. Every other time I have used it it has been flawless. This is much more than just a bluray player, it is a multimedia hub. It has more capabilities than I will ever use, like connecting to a shared folder on your PC to listen to music or watch videos. Abe's was great to deal with and they have the best price on this unit, by far.

Love the streaming Netflix and Pandora capabilities and the BLuRay upconverting aspect is very good. Had it up and running in no time. The controls on top of the unit are so sensitive that just dusting it can turn it on/off, etc.

When it first arrived, I really liked the machine. Elegant design, clean lines, easy to setup. The Netflix and Pandora features are excellent! However, after about 3 hours of use, the screen went to "fuzz" and nothing worked. I called Samsung, and they were pretty helpful on the phone, arranged for a return label, and were very apologetic. It took Samsung nine business-days to fix and return the unit. It's back in place now, though today I only have a few more hours of use so far. If it keeps running, I'll be happy ... even though it had a rough start.

After comparisons with LG and other Blu-Ray players this one provided the best (sharpest) picture for me, for the price point. The player is attractive and the added Wifi dongle was a nice touch. After playing about 2 dozen or so Blu-Ray and regular DVDs, while scanning scenes the player locked-up once: it would not respond to the remote, requiring turning the unit off/on again to get going again. Online content from Netflix is great, but there was a strange glitch here as well: after viewing a dozen or so movies that were streamed from Netflix one time the movie froze and the player would not retrieve the next part of the stream, the program counter would not advance. These two problems each only happened once and the solution was to reset the player by turning it on/off. Firmware downloads from Samsung are a definite plus, there is hope that these glitches will be fixed in the long-run via a software update.

Streaming video from Netflix is very dependent on the speed and quality of your Internet connection, even if your connection is fast, losing a few packets here and there can cause Netflix to pause while it downloads the next part of the movie. One day my Internet Provider had some problems that caused this to happen, but otherwise, for months now,
of daily use, Netflix streaming has been flawless (no pauses). Keep in mind the Netflix streams are compressed so the resolution is not as sharp as 480p but still quite good. In my opinion it is not noticable with a 25in TV, but the difference is obvious with my 65in screen, but only after viewing the same movie from standard DVD and via streaming from Netflix. Blu-ray is an order of magnitude better than anything else, although my TV only goes to 1080i the picture this player provides is superior compared with other blu-ray players and it is obvious that blu-ray is an order of magnitude better than standard DVD.

However it is important to note that doesn't matter if you are only looking at older films, many look just fine with standard DVDs and are not much improved with Blu-Ray, but the Samsung player makes all my DVDs look better on my 65in screen.

The Samsung Remote is hard to use because the buttons are too small and not well organized, and not illuminated (if this is important to you, try before you buy). I use a universal remote for everything, so it does not matter for me. The on screen user interface for viewing content on the local intranet is compatible with MS Media Center. It did see may Samba shares from my Linux server, but I had to configure it manually (every time the player is restarted). I have another network device to stream my photo and video collection on the TV, so I don't care about this.

The blu-ray is great for viewing DVDs. I was impressed with the Pandora music feature which allows me to listen to my own selections of music. Very nice feature when I am in a music mood.

This sleek little thing is a powerhouse, and works effortlessly with our Samsung TV. I love the Pandora and Netflix features, they're very easy to set up and use on our wireless network. Only complaint is the wait for the network to start up once it's turned on to play Pandora/Netflix. One touch of the power button on the remote turns on our TV and BD player, switches the source of the TV to the BD player, and (if no disc is inserted) gives you the option to choose Netflix or Pandora immediately. Blu-rays play fine and look amazing on the Samsung TV. I think this product is a great value, you get a lot of features for the price. We haven't even explored the PC connect and all the other things it can do!

Easy to setup. Connected HDMI to HDTV for video, fiber optic to Dolby Digital surround sound receiver. Picture and sound excellent. Connected to hard wired in-house cat6 network. Netflix streaming very good after 11PM. No video/sound sync problems. Unable to make connection earlier (Netflix/network problem, not player problem). Connected to file server to view pictures and play music. Auto-detected PC, but not file server (ReadyNAS).

This product produces an awesome picture and has great sound quality. It's very easy to set up. I use it on my Samsung LCD TV and the remote for the blu-ray replaces the TV remote, which is VERY convenient! To make things even better, the product has the added Netflix instant streaming and Pandora internet radio features. If you have a Netflix account or love to explore new music, these features differentiate this blu-ray player from the others and make it a must buy. Overall, I love this player and feel that it was a great value buy. I highly recommend it.

The only problem I had was with the HDMI cable I bought with the player. Before I switched it out to a Monster cable I had bought a year ago for my DishPlayer I was experiencing dropouts, screen flashes and hang-ups. Once I put the higher quality cable in place it has worked great. And, FWIW, don't buy a DVD or Blu-ray player that does not have the Netflix streaming feature if you are a NF subscriber. This is the best deal going.

The Samgsung Blu-Ray player includes an external USB 2.0 Wi-Fi N networking stick! The stick is compatible with my computer, LCD TV, and yes the Blu-Ray. I use the stick to pick up internet on my computer, gather web information for the LCD TV, and am excited to try the streaming Netflix. I just wish the DVD player had three USB wireless sticks (one for TV, one for computer, one for Blu-Ray). I've played a regular DVD. The picture was awesome. I can't wait to try a Blu-Ruy and see just how good of a picture this player can make on a LCD TV.

Our 2008 Sony BDP-S350 is painfully slow to power on, open, and start a disc, so I was looking forward to the 2009 Samsung BD-P3600 which had several reviews claiming that it was faster. It is faster than the Sony, especially at power-on and open, but sill frustratingly slow to load.

We have not tested all possible features, but the image is great and so is the sound. Besides the obvious DVD/Blu-ray disks, we played some mp3 and some of our photos. They all look/sound amazing. The USB port right in front of the equipment is a plus.

The bad:
Sometimes takes several minutes to load a Blueray disc, and the screen is often blank while it's loading. It really should display some status while loading the disc - several times I thought it had locked up.
