I connected this player to my network and was able to download firmware updates with the click of a button. Definitely need an SD card to take advantage of BD-Live features.

Comments about PANASONIC DMPBD55D Blu-Ray DVD Player:

I own Blue Underground a DVD/Blu-ray production company. We QC our BDs on all the top players. We've been consistingly pleased with the performance and stability of Panasonic BD players - even over Sony. I recently bought the BD55 and its by far the best player in the market today. Definitely worth upgrading from previous players.

Comments about PANASONIC DMPBD55D Blu-Ray DVD Player:

Super easy to set up. If you are matching it with a Panasonic TV equiped with VIERA, it's "cake"! Hook it up to your router with a ethernet cable and download your firmware updates automatically.
