Very cutting edge. It has BD Live via the internet. I have not tried the feature but it sounds great.

After much online research, I bought the Panasonic DMPBD35 Blu-Ray DVD Player. I have it hooked up to a Samsung LN52A650 LCD HDTV, and a Harman Kardon AVR 354 A/V receiver that powers Monitor Audio speakers.
I wanted a good stand alone Blu-Ray as I am not a gamer and found no justification in spending extra money on the PS 3, and I also have space considerations in my smallish NYC condo.
I found the set-up to be easy, and I appreciate the slim design as well. The image quality of Blu-Ray dics is outstanding on my TV, as is the audio. I find the load time to be relatively quick at an average of 10 seconds depending on the movie. One does have to be patient when opening, or ejecting the dvd tray, it is not "immediate". It takes a few seconds, but that is nitpicking here. I highly recommend this Blu-Ray, especially for the money.

I read a review of this on cNet and saw Abe's had the best price. Abe's of Maine is great to work with, so I jumped on it. Love the great picture in my own home. Hard to beat and now I have Blu-ray included in my Netflix.

I use this with a Sony Plasma 50" TV in my home theater. Unfortunately, I don't have an HDMI connection. It works great with an HDMI to DVI adapter and optical audio connection. I think I will get better sound if I upgrade my receiver to an HDMI compatible. The picture looks 3D, it is so clear. The difference between this and regular DVD is astounding. The audio sounds great, but as I said could be better because I don't have the best connection.I love this machine.[...]. I have bought a lot of things from them including my 50" Sony Plasma about 4 years ago.

Set it up in my home theater. Easy set-up. Picture is amazing with blu-ray and DVD's. Audio is great. [...] I have always had a good buying experience with Abe's. Would definitely recommend them!
