Comments about Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack For D300:
The vertical grip is perfect. It fits well, it adds a bit of needed versatility and convenience and it provides some extra speed and stamina. It is everything it is supposed to be. It should be a standard feature that it built-in like on the D3, but I also understand that Nikon needs to differentiate the D3 from the D300.
I have only one minor quibble - the little tab on the MB-D10 that is used to move the focus location could be a little less slippery. I'd like it better if it were larger like on the back of the D300 camera body (but i concede there isn't enough space) or i'd like there to be a tacky rubber-like nub, like on some laptop cursors that are located in the middle of keyboards. By no means, however, is this going to make you regret purchasing.
One other personal thought...why doesn't Nikon also include extra memory capcity in addition to the extra battery capacity? I'd actually like to be able to add another memory card more. Which also means you probably need both, since shooting enough to fill two 8G cards is going to require a lot of power. But again, I concede there are likely some engineering constraints associated with the interface between the camera body and the grip.
Then, for me anyway, there is the added respect you instantly get from clients for the extra camera girth. The D300 with the MB-D10 looks impressive, especially with my 85/1.4 attached. I wish I could afford to invest in a Hasselblad or Mamiya, but the D300 with the grip is the next best thing from (albeit, technically meaningless) a look-the-part perspective.

Once I Attached the MB D10 to Camera I haven't taken it off, It enhances the feel of the Camera
Comments about Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack For D300:
The MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack fits either the D300 or the D700 cameras. The combination battery pack and grip allows the photographer a choice of three schemes for powering the camera as follows:
1. 1.5 V Alkaline, Lithium, Ni-MH or Ni-Mn (8 batteries)
2. EN-EL4/EN-EL4A with the optional BL-3 Battery Chamber Cover
3. EN-EL3e battery
By using the EN-EL4a/EN-EL4 or AA batteries you cn achieve higher frame advance rates up to 8 frames/second. The grip incorporates shutter release buttons, a subcommand wheel, AF-on button and a multiselector button.
This is a very sturdy power grip that has over come some of the flimsiness of it’s earlier designed cousins.

This is a nice add on for a D300 or D700 camera. Besides giving longer battery life to your shooting session, it also allows you is increase the number of frames per second.
I like the feel that it adds to the camera and the duplication of controls on the battery pack meakes it a dream to work with.

I am a semi-professional photographer and just purchased the MB-D10 to go with my Nikon D300. The extra battery life definately makes a HUGE difference. It has some function controls on it as well which make it easy to adjust when you're out in the field or in the middle of a wedding. I would say you need it, so get it!!

I keep this product on my camera at all times. I believe this product looks great on the camera. There is nothing that I can say negative about this product. I highly reccomend the MB-210 for the versatility it provides to an already great Camera (Nikon D-300)

Easy to take Portrait or Landscape shots quickly

Great accessory for the D700. I prefer the balance provided by the vertical grip. Excellent build quality. Shutter button is much more sensitive than the camera shutter button, so need to remember to compensate.
Comments about Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack For D300:
The 6-8 fps speed is a good reason to buy the MB-D10,but for me the more important consideration is the additional shutter release and AF-On button gained for shooting in portrait orientation. It also greatly increases your battery life while shooting, and permits you to run the D300 on AA batteries, should the need arise. The MB-D10 seems to be a well constructed, perfect match for the D300, with such niceties as a recessed storage area to hold the little rubber electrical contacts cover when it is attached to the D300.
Comments about Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack For D300:
Shot about 800 frames on two-week trip so far with AA lithiums (Energizer). Haven't charged EL3e yet, but it still shows 93% -- occasionally even going up to 96%.
Heavy to haul around but actually makes the D300 handle better for more stable shots, much like the motor-equipped Fs I used in the film days.
Haven't used the vertical release much thus far, but found using consecutive-low setting minimizes sensitive trigger issue reported by other reviewers.
And the professional appearance it lends to the camera tends to make people think you know what you're doing -- asking you to take pictures of them with their cameras. Depends whether you're annoyed or flattered by those requests.

Comments about Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack For D300:
You'll immediately understand all the rave reviews from the moment that you first pick up your D300 with the attached MB-D10...the D300 feels so much more robust and better balanced as if the battery attachment was meant to be there in the first place...the MB-D10 is extremely well made of the same magnesium alloy construction as the D300, has rubber-molded handholds, a seamless and secure fit, is weather-sealed and an absolute great ergonomically-correct fit for my big paws regardless of the camera's orientation...as an amateur sports photograher I not only appreciate the remarkable fps increase gained by the insertion of rechargable AA batteries but also enjoy the added juice to drive AF in longer zoom lenses...to date, battery life has been nothing short of sensational...I know that some reviewers have complained about D300 battery access but I merely set the camera to initially draw on the MB-D10 battery and have yet to need to access the D300 battery compartment...MB-D10 switches are correctly placed and convenient although a might bit overly sensitive on first use...the set-up can become unnecessarily expensive if you choose to bypass the rechargable AA route and opt for the EN-EL4a/BL-3 route...it should be noted that the MB-D10 is probably not a wise investment if you thought that the D300 was too heavy in the first place...needless to say, I am very pleased with my purchase and strongly recommend it.
Comments about Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack For D300:
Very happy with the extended power to shoot sequence shooting for hours. Surprised to learn that only certain batteries will accomplish the 8fps with the D300. Wasn't mentioned until I read the user manual. Also the shutter release is very touchy... If not set to single frame release, it's easy to fire off several frames unintentionally. Other than that, the ease of removal and battery swaps are great! Not having to deal with the camera's battery door is wonderful.
Comments about Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack For D300:
The extra batery capacity and the vertical controls make this a necessary upgrade for the D300.
Comments about Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack For D300:
Stronger than imitations and can use either AA, EN-EL3e, EN-EL4 (with separate adapter). It is also compatible between the D300 and the D700 which is helpful in the field.
Although a bit more expensive, for a professional it is well worth it.
It also has proper controls, unlike the competition.

Comments about Nikon MB-D10 Multi-Power Battery Pack For D300:
I can say this battery grip is by far the best design for digital cameras I've ever used.
(I have owned every grip Nikon made).
1. Can remove and install without replacing or moving batteries or doors. Simply screw on or off.
2. Build is solid like the D30/D300.
3. Simple no brainier use, if you know the camera it is second nature to flip and use.
4. More reasons I love this thing is the same reason I went with Nikon in the first place.
That it is compatible with newer cameras bodies as well.
Just like the film camera bodies and my old lenses
They all work together still.
This is a very intelligent addition to a very perfect line of digital equipment.
