Comments about Pentax BG2 Battery Pack for K20D/K10D:

I couple the BG2 with my k20D because I want a grip that can provide a shutter-release button for portrait shooting. This is not an after-market grip, this is the real McCoy by Pentax that fits the K20D perfectly!
The pull-out tray can accept an extra battery which can be served as a second battery if the first battery in the camera body runs out. You can easily program the priority of these two batteries in your camera (refer to page#234 of the camera manual). The battery tray in this grip also holds the remote control (not included) and an extra SD card (not included)
When the batteries run out, however, you have to remove the grip to access to the first battery in the camera body, and open the tray to remove the second battery in the grip to recharge. I wish the USB can recharge both batteries without any removal, but this is just not the case. But again, can't blame the grip, it's the design of the camera.
Attach the BG2 on your k20D will definitely add professional look on your camera, not to mention added function.
If you would like to complete the outfit of your K20D, the BG2 is a must!
