Its lightweight and yet rich with features. Amazing picture quality with good image stabilization features. Great pictures under various lighting situations.. you gotta try it to feel the difference!!

This camera is very easy to use. It takes quick, nice shots. Changing lenses is easy. The only con I have found is that the lens cap is not attached to the camera so I have to put the cap in my pocket and am afraid I might lose it at some point.

Great Camera right out box. Had it 2 days and went on trip and shot 200 shots inside without flash. Picture's came out better then I thought they would. Also have older 35mm Rebel, but who has time for film now. Lens can be used with new Rebel. Would recommend it to anyone

For a beginner, I found this camera to be a perfect fit. I spent a lot of time researching different SLR cameras. For the money this was by far the best camera for me! The price alone couldn't be beat by anyone else. I have started to take pictures of my children running around in my back yard and the quality is outstanding. I feel that with a little more practice I will be taking my own family pictures for the holidays. I would highly recommend to any novice buying this camera. Great experience with Abe's!

I decided to take up photography to get exercise. Florida has hundreds of parks and other destinations where I can use my new camera and get exercise at the same time. My friends and co-workers love the pictures and are very impressed with the quality they have seen. Thank you Abe's for the great deal on my new camera, when asked where I got it I don't hesitate to tell the Abe's of Maine!

I bought this camera after having autofocus issues with the XSi model. It is a step down, but this camera is reliable. I purchased the package that came with the 75-300 zoom. I just wish the zoom also had IS. Overall, this is a great camera.

I am new to DSLR cameras and did tons of research on them. Ended up the the Canon Silver XS w/kit lens 18-55 and 75-300 w/o USM. New in box with all paperwork and undisturbed packaging. Extra lens in orginal box all warrenties. Great camera am really excited to see it's potiental. Looking to buy again from Abes of Maine, great prices, [...]

As an artist, I use the camera for great shots that become my painting subjects. The settings for sepia and black and white are really cool. The only problem I have encountered is the loss of the lens cover. I think it should be attached so that it can't be left behind as mine was on a recent cruise. Fortunately I have a filter to protect the lens.

My wife and all 3 kids including my 10 year old were using this camera immediately. It is simple. Don't let that fool you. I have not seen any better quality photos and that includes cameras that cost hundreds more.
