Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
This camera is an upgrade from my Digital Rebel (300D). It is very easy to use and takes great pictures.
My only complaint is the sd card slot. The card does not always eject cleanly. This is my second body. I had to exchange the forst one because the card world hardly eject at all. This one is better, but still does not have a good, consistant spring to it.

Great camera! Especially for a first time DSLR owner.

I use the camera for indoor and outdoor sports. The image quality is great.
Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
This is my first SLR camera since I sold my old Nikon 35mm camera several years ago. On the recommendation of my professional photographer daughter, who owned an earlier version of the Rebel before she turned pro, I bought the body only and the 18-135mm lens. This combination allows me to take all the various types of shots I need without having to carry or change extra lenses. I am still mastering all the electronic features and learning to get the most out of this camera, but I am very happy with the purchase. The pictures are high quality and the camera is relatively easy to use.

I do a lot of low light wildlife photography and based on a leading photography magazine's test results, this Canon model had better noise figures than more expensive Canon models and even the new T2i. I've included a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly shot using a 400mm Canon lens, hand held.

Great camera. A little heavy, but not a problem.
Definitely one of the best I've ever had.
Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Can be used with a circular polarized filter to eliminate glare. Moderate total weight when combined with good lenses. Controls are intuitive. Excellent photo diodes and signal processing result in quality pictures when used with a quality lens. Wish movie feature could auto focus as I pan the camera.
Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
I was considering both the T1i and 50D for my first DSLR. Obviously the 50D is a better build camera according to many reviews, however for a beginner like me, I couldn't justify the $200-300 difference in price for the same camera with APS-C sensor. I'd rather use that money to get a good lense (50mm f 1.4) instead, or if you already have a good lense you can save that money for a full-frame camera down the road.
Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Simply amazing, my first camera away from film. I am using my camera in digiscoping with a spotting scope. Amazing results. My only complaint are nose smudges on my LCD when looking through the viewfinder.
Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Very easy to use.
Clear, fast shots.
With increased ISO (3200) night sports shots are very sharp.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Great camera to take on trips since it takes both still and video in HD. Be sure and buy "class 6" SD memory for the video and fast uploads to your computer. Canon continues to improve on features and quality in this line of camera.
Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
So far this camera has worked flawlessly.
Its coupled to a Sigma 18-200 IS lens which is a great everyday lens. If you are used to p&s cameras it will take a while to get used to using the viewfinder opposed to using the LCD screen to compose shots. You can use the LCD but focusing is extremely slow in live view mode, normal mode is fast.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
I bought this camera right before going on vacation to Alaska. Needless to say, I wanted a zoom lens. I also was looking for ease of use. I ended up purchasing a Tamrom 18-270 which serves my intentions fairly well, allowing me to not have to change lenses which is a feature I was hoping for. I am obviously a novice just looking to have wonderful easy vacation photos and that is exactly what I get with the T1i. A great entry level digital slr with the added video bonus which is easy to use and fun, fun, fun!!!
Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Am new to DSLR's. Am amazed by how much better the photos are on this compared to a point and shoot. Many shots, indoors and out come out clearly with vibrant colors on this camera even without a light. Shutter speed seems fast to me. Happened to be near an airshow where vintage WWII planes flew overhead. Took lots of photos using both the auto focus and sports setting and they came out great. Could see the props frozen in time. Colors looked good even from far away. Bought the camera with Tamron 18-270. Very happy with zoom and close up on Tamron. Zoom lock feature is nice when carry camera around. HD video looks great. Some say they see choppiness with 1080 p at 20 frames per second...still looks good. 720 at 30 frames per sec looks great and love being able to zoom focus video. Sports, nature, landscapes all look great. If you are a pro photog perhaps you'll find things to quibble with but it is a gigantic step up for a person new to DSLR.
Auto focus is great. Having fun learning how to vary the settings on the non auto focus features. Read the Canon manual. It helps and is easy to follow unlike many tech manuals.
Beach shot. Nice colors and detail even far away.

As a family camera to document our children this camera has been a great replacement for a lost Canon Xsi. Images are crisp and clear holding there own when blown up for cropping. Easy to use and versatile whether for a day at the beach or a low lit birthday party.
Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
This camera is very, very user friendly. A great feature of this Rebel model is the ability to be inside a room, point the camera toward the window and capture the true colors of the view outside and not lose details for the interior of the room.
Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
I realy liked that I was able to get the body alone and then buy a lense that fit my needs better than the one that came in the kit.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
This is my 3rd Canon dSLR and my favorite to date. I have grown accustomed to the logic behind the controls and am now working mostly with the Manual mode shooting in RAW. Coupled with a good lens it is a magnificent system (I am not a big fan of the original 18-55mm which comes with the Rebel series which is why I purchase only the body).
The slow focus is only an issue with the HD video mode. It is a welcome addition and the quality of the video is impressive, however be prepared to manually focus on your subject which takes quite a bit of practice. The auto-focus works but it is noisy and slow.
If you are looking for a bit more from a camera and are looking forward to experimenting in new directions, this is a fantastic product.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Great camera! I upgraded from a Rebel XT, and I'm blown away at the improvement in the LCD. It's a far more useful tool for previewing than it was on my XT.
The camera focuses extremely fast with my 28-105mm F4/L and 70-200mm F4/L lenses, much quicker than on my XT.
The addition of spot metering is great as well. The XT only had evaluative or center weighted.
Low light performance is much improved as well. Much lower noise levels make ISO1600 actually a useful setting. On the XT this was pretty much only useful if you were desperate. I usually ended up shooting a couple exposures under and pushing, but now I have one more notch I can use. Haven't shot much at 3200 yet, so the jury is still out there.
The video is fantastic. I'm no videographer, but the ability to use "real" glass while shooting video is fantastic. The only problem is that even with the USM drives in my lenses you can still hear the camera autofocusing when you force a focus if the scene is quiet. I've ended up focusing manually, which works just fine as well. It's actually a little nicer, though more work, because you can really control your focus pulls instead of the camera just doing it as fast as it can.
My only con is to echo the sentiments of a lot of people who are frustrated with the 20fps 1080p on the camera. Canon should have just either ditched 1080p entirely and just gone with 720p, or they should allow a full 30fps. Supposedly the camera should be capable of it, though there is dispute about that. What you can't dispute is that 20fps looks bad. It's jerky, and is especially noticeable on scenes with a lot of motion. Which is what video is for, right? When played back it tends to look "jumpy", like the camera was dropping frames. Which is pretty much what it's doing.
I really hope Canon figures this out and fixes it in firmware, because until then I'm only using 720p.

My first DSLR Camera. Easy to navigate buttons. Able to zoom with lens while recording HD video. Still learning the in outs, so far great camera.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Owned an XSi prior to purchasing the T1i. Bought the T1i because of its HD video features like the 5D-MKII but at a cheaper price and a smaller build as part of the Rebel series. Camera handles great. Has a higher ISO setting than the XSi, shoots at 15.1 megapixels and handles overall, very well as a smaller semi-pro camera. Video features are good at 720. Wish it took 1080vids at 30fps. Manual focus while zooming or even not zooming takes a getting used to, but you can't beat "2 cameras in 1" when you need to take a quick video clip of something to remember along with your stills.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
I am a high school student in California and I have always loved taking photos of the wildlife there. This is my first upgrade (I had the digital rebel xt before) and wow I am impressed. Great image quality, twice the megapixels, and VIDEO!... best value in low-end digital slr class. A must for non-professional/student photo enthusiast.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Tremendous resolution, great feel in your hands, relatively small and light weight, PACKED with features, truely "state-of-the-art" camera with live view and HD video.
So far, I can't really find a negative.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
This is my first use of Live View technology; it has a long way to go! Its awkward and slow - but it works. Live View is not useful for low angle or overhead shots - you can't see the LCD; it needs to be rotateable to be helpful at other than eye level.
I don't shoot video.
Otherwise - another Canon great camera!

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Excellent camera. I own Canon XSI and after I got T1i I will not need the XSI. Very happy with camera apart from video capabilities and oblivious pixel increase over XSI the live view is much easier to use and more functional. The image quality is good not much different from XSI but has a usable ISO of 1600 (you would notice noise at 3200) unlike XSI that maxes out at 800.[...]What I expected with T1i and did not find upon release is the Penta Prism viewfinder like the higher models. I find the small viewfinder difficult to read the settings.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T1i Digital SLR Camera (Body Only):
Great Camera overall. Just wish the raw format was supported by lightroom before the camera is released. The canon's own editor is not very intuitive.
