I use it for fun and while in travel. Though I have high end cameras this looks very handy & comfortable. However, I use other high opt zoom/DSLR cameras for taking pictures in a pro way.

I got this camera for my very young daughter because it was the least expensive brand name unit. I didn't want a Gizmo X200 or some other no-name piece of junk. I have had a Canon in the past and I am very happy with them.
It is very simple to use with a minmum number of extra features and settings that I know we will never use. It is also small and cute; too bad the other fun colors were more money. I saved a couple bucks by going with gray.

recently i purchased another camera with 10 MP..but not satisfied with that..

I bought this camera as a replacement for my 66 y.o. mother's hp camera. She just wanted a point and shoot that she could easily use and put in her pocket. This camera is great for her. Takes excellent pictures for those who don't want to mess around with settings and functions and just snap great pictures on the fly. She loves it and is extremely happy with the resolution of the pictures and battery life.

I replaced my Nikon Coolpix with the Canon Powershot- what a difference! The Powershot pretty much set itself up- that easy. It has plenty of options that are simple to use, no need to learn the instruction manual (as with the Nikon) and the pictures come out great! I would buy this camera again- Abes of Maine had a wonderful offer at the time of purchase so I am very happy with my buy!
