I was very disappointed in the quality of the indoor shots, in low light or simply in general with adequate artificial lighting. I am not experienced with the special features so I primarily used the AUTO setting. I had a Canon A540 prior to this which did not exhibit the same issues. The photos for the SX110 IS tended to be blurry, even with the HI ISO setting. If not blurry, they tended to have color pixellation and fringing.

The feature that caused me buy SX110IS was its image stabilization system. Friends who use digital cameras professionally all told me that Canons optical image stabilised zoom scheme was the most serious in its price array. It presents on its promises, creating photos whose quality rivals those of much more expensive digital photographic cameras.

I thought that not having a viewfinder would not be a big problem - until I used the camera outside. In bright sunlight you can't see what's on the LCD because of the glare. Not seeing what you're trying to shoot - yes, that's definitely a problem.

With a new grandson I wanted a good point and shoot digital camera with at least a 10x optical zoom to replace an Olympus model that I still love but is outdated. This is my second shot at a replacement. My previous try was also a Canon and had a dismal and unsuccessful experience with Canon's support service. My daughter convinced me, however, to give Canon another try. She loves her two. I've had this Canon Powershot SX110 now just a little over a month and love its ease of operation and picture quality. Fortunately I have not had to use the Canon support services for this camera yet - I dread the thought of going through what I did with my previous camera. So in sum - so far so good.

Really the perfect camera for its range of use. Only two slight negatives: the large lcd which is great is also hard to keep clean depending on how you handle the camera; and it does go through batteries very quickly which is what I found in my research. However, I have already purchase the rechargables. All in all the best camera I have ever used with fantastic pictures!

I bought this camera for my mother and she absolutely loves it! The zoom is incredible and so is the lcd screen. You can actually see the picture clearly and don't have to guess if it was a picture you would keep or not. Once we printed the pictures we knew it was truly an exceptional camera. The camera is slightly heavier than most small cameras, but for an adult this would not be a problem. You wouldn't buy this camera for your teenager anyway

I use this camera both free hand and tripod. I have used the delay timer with great results. I like the zoom feature that lets you get up close to your subject. Very clear and colorful pictures make me fell like a pro. I'm still learning more features daily as I use this camera.
