Although the camera was good, there is an issue when it comes to reflections. If the reflection comes from on object (e.g. a blue curtain), there's a lingering blue lines that shows on the LCD monitor of your camera. Secondly, the flash pops up at the place where you're left hand is usually holding the camera, which becomes a nuisance after a while. Cannon needs to work on the ergonomics of this camera.

Wide angle lens is quite useful.
Large zoom is great for outdoor shots.

It is such a nice camera for caual prohtographers. It takes great pictures. Since it is "kind of a professional" camera, you may get much better picture if you make adjustments. The only thing I do not like is the location of the flash.

I generally use this product for travel photography. Have used it for a few weeks and really am still learning all of the new featues. One thing that bothers me is when I turn the camera on my hand always seems to be in the way of where the flash pops open. Thats a bit of an annoyance. However the video quality for this camera is decent.

Novices can use the auto setting and let the camera make all the decisions which may be necessary given the convoluted menu's. Especially the dial menu that never seems to do the same thing twice. The images it takes and LCD display are very good however. The flash is placed in a somewhat awkward position and pops up every time the camera is turned on which gets annoying. I'm really on the fence about this camera. If it were easier to navigate it's functions I could fully recommend it but as is I'm only about 60/40 in favor of this camera.

The SX210 IS is a good travel camera in that it has a really good zoom and is smaller and lighter than the S5 IS. However, the pictures are not at good as the Elph SD1100 IS or the S5 IS. The controls are adequate but quite small. It seems at times you almost have to use our finger nails to push the button (I have large hands). With a 12x zoom, you have to be careful to stabilize the camera even with the image stabilization feature on. If you are willing to compromise a sharp image for the zoom feature, this is your camera. If you want a higher quality image, use the Elph. My wife loves the camera for the zoom. I prefer the Elph or S5 IS for shaper pictures.

I use this camera as a backup for my Nikon D80 DSLR. I generally shoot wildlife and landscapes but not with the SX210IS. It's good for indoor photos, family photos and general photography. The zoom is excellent

Especially for outside shots, I use a monopod, which asists in stability. Great for distant scenery and late day shots.
I have some problem with my gripping the camera with my left hand, as I keep covering the automatic flash pop-up with my index finger.

I use this camera mostly for travel and wildlife. This camera takes great photos, I was impressed, right out of the box. If you are looking for a great pocket camera this is definitely the camera to get. Photo quality is Definitely 5 stars. I would give it more if I could.
It is somewhat slow and the flash is slow to recover. But as far as photo quality, outstanding, easy to use for beginners, yet many setting for the advanced photographer. I would give it 5 stars if the flash was a bit faster to recover.
The price is more than fair for what the camera is and does.
Highly recommend it.

I just wanted a new camera that had better zoom and mp. I have owned 2 canon powershots but wanted something nicer but not too big. I have been searching and waiting for this one to come out. I wanted it before it was even released and I actually ordered this without having ever seen it in person because I knew it was the perfect fit for us. The picture quality is amazing, very easy to use, love all the buttons (expect the zoom.) I wish the zoom was a little smoother to use, but really it isn't really that big of a deal. I would recommend this to anyone not wanting a huge SLR but wants better quality!

This is best camera from Canon currently available.Before this I had Sony but now I tried Canon and I love this camera. Earlier I was confused with Canon S90 but after looking at Zoom level it provides I preferred this.Lense does come out too much when u Zoom but i guess thats technical limitation of mega zoom.Left side top popup flash is little bit problem initially as u always grab camera from that side but i got use to it in 2 days so now not much of problem.Picture quality is amazing and provides lot os shotting modes and settings.If you are new user Auto mode is perfect.Zoom during video is feature that i like most and it takes 720p video recording which is nice.Battery life is little bit problem so i will suggest to buy extra battery from this store which provides 33% more duration then battery that comes with it.[...] I will suggest to buy this and make sure about size of camera before buying.
