This camera produces very good quality photos in a variety of lighting situation. it offers several auto focus modes that work well. It is comfortable to hold and has easy to use control. It also includes a good size LCD and optional view finder. The only negatives are that the on/off switch is unsure. You have to hold it just the right time to make sure it turns on but not too long or it will turn off again. The battery life could stand to be longer. Otherwise a great camera without moving up to a professionl model.

I bought the camera based on Consumer Reports recommendations. The Kodak Z1012 received their best rating and I haven't been disappointed. I received a great value from Abe's both on the camera and accessories.

This is my third EasyShare and it outperforms its older brothers at a value price. This is the first time I have not used the Kodak dock with the camera for simple downloading, but this one is a charm without that extra purchase. New owners should invest in Kodak rechargeable batteries to be sure you never run out of power.Simplicity, great photos, and value pricing make this little camera a winner.

Consumer Reports strongly recommends it and says it should do very well in low light, but indoor and low light pictures look grainy. It does a fine job in daylight and the action/sports settings do work well. It is a bit bulky, but it has the zoom lens not found in the compacts. So far, I think I like my Canon's software better, but I am just getting started working with the Kodak suite. Not a bad camera for the money.

This is my first digital camera having used a fairly expensive film SLR for years. I bought the camera just before making a trip to Nicaragua. I used it in various conditions and in a lot of different situations. The camera performed excellently! I am totally satisfied!

The battery that came with it lasted about 3 hours and is not rechargeable. We purchased two seperate rechargable batteries packs. Only had to charge one battery pack once over 5 days at Disney and 300 pictures.

Night and Firwork pictures were awesome and we were about over 300 feet away for some of the pictures.

This is a FABULOUS camera! I am a REALTOR and have used it to photograph properties for the MLS. The quality is amazing! Some of the low-light photos that I have taken appear as if they were taken in full-light. My husband and I also travel a lot. The camera is light-weight, travels well and allows you to take several photos in rapid succession, so you won't miss a shot. We are very, very pleased with our purchase and with Abe's of Maine. The camera works great and is easy to use for a novice. The service from Abe's was perfect!!! I got my camera the dy after I ordered it!! Did not try to sell any useless extras. The extras they recommend are good and needed for the best camera useage. Very Very happy with the upfront, honest, service. Also very pleased with the fact that they do real you in with cheap foreign model prices.

Obviously this is an inexpensive camera. Obviously it is small, compact and light. I have other expensive and big cameras. If I drop it overboard, or forget where I put it or if it was stolen I am not out too much. However, the user friendly camera has fantastic features: read the spec's. This is a fun camera that takes great pictures. At ten megapixels you can get some nice enlargements. CCD technology has advanced remarkably in the last couple of years and this camera comes with a pretty good one by my standards. However, if you want to go to professional quality, this isn't it. But then for the most part many of the candid shots are not requiring this level of refinement. Enjoy this great little camera at a really great price.

This is a great compromise between point and shoots and SLR cameras. It has a better zoom (10x) than point and shoots and has a burst mode which can capture 3 pics in 1.5 seconds, similar to an SLR. It has many features of an SLR with the ease of a point and shoot. I am very happy with this camera.

I started having problems after abuot 150 shots. Would not turn on. Installed the rechargeable NI-MH 2700 mAh that I purchased with the camera. Worked for two photos.These batteries only supply 2.5 volts. I don't think this charger with batteries should be sold as an accessory for this camera. Purchased and installed CR-V3 DURACELL yesterday morning. Tried useing camera for three shots with no success. Power would shut off, lens would not retract untill batt was removed and re-installed. Did not record any of the photos.I may have a lemmon. Is working today so far. Did loose a few earlier shots due to improper focus.

this is my 4th digital camera and i love it the best. you can zoom very far with a 12 optical. the sports option is awesome for anything in motion, all of my other cameras couldn't compete in that field. 10.1 is great as well.

This is my first digital camera bought a few weeks before a trip to Europe. My problem was I bought a cheaper battery (CRV3 Ni rechargable 3.4V) and charger. That fully charged battery did not allow me to take more than 30-40 pics on one battery charge. Since I was in Rome etc. I was limited to very few pictures per day and was very disappointed. Even reviewing my pictures would cause the battery to run low. Since I've been back home, I've had the camera checked out. Putting in a different voltage battery made all the difference. I ordered the correct battery from Kodak (KLIC 8000) li 4.7V with charger and expect that will take care of the low battery problem.
Pictures are clear and beautiful for even a novice picture taker like me.
My suggestion: don't skimp on battery power-it's a must for this camera to work correctly.

Perfect for travel, outdoors; enough zoom for wild animal photos. Just bought it for long trip to the NW Rockies, where it was great in all weather and light, including sunrises and sunsets.

Menu is easy.

Lens cap falls off with even a slght brush or tap.
