It does Hi Def with stereo and video Do I need to say more. How about a optical that is better than great. The only drawback I can find is it did not come with the HDMI cable. Besides that this is the best none SLR camera I could find. Go to you tube for a review.

This product works great in outdoor and super zoom helps in capturing details from far away objects.
This camera some time in room light over exposes the photo with basic setting which can be overcome by changing the exposure setting.

It is very light weight comparing some other high zoom camera.

The best thing about this camera is its zoom. It's quite helpful in wildlife photography. The manual adjustments allow you to improve your photographic skills, and at the same time the automatic modes allow any person of your family to click good pics.

I was looking for a small camera with the features of a full size DSLR. I did not want the hassle of lens changing and I wanted to be able to use it on auto if I wished.The Image quality is not as good as a DSLR but it's very respectable. Image stabilization is good as is the auto focus.I can take Pics of a baseball game and instantly switch to taking great movies! For the price,and the features you get, I think it's a great camera.

This is a good alternative for people who cant afford SLRs. Excellent image quality, Exxcellent Zoom, Useful Tilt Screen, Additional Predefined modes a;ll this at a good price.
I did not find it impressive from HD video recording perspective. It doent captures the sound very well, Colour defination is also not to the mark of Full HD. But again its camera ment for Still photography, so it delivers everything related to that.

I was mostly interested in the long zoom and the video function. The zoon in good. A little difficult to get clear picture at the extreme lenght and better on monopod. Video is nice and with good image quality. A little slow to start.

Bought P100 recently. I am not so experienced with SLR type cameras either. This camera gives me a great deal of subject to study while i experiment. The features in it shall keep me busy until i fully learn the nature of photography. It is a semi SLR. Best one for a photo enthusiast or a beginner. Depending on how I work with it, I will later move to SLR type or continue with this.

The zooming, the various other features are just fantastic. loved them all. on the flip side, the use of view finder may only come on a sunny outdoor. Focusing is ride beside the view finder. So one may find difficult to do it that way. Camera is on bulky side. i heard AA size battery cameras allow more pics to be taken. but i somehow feel uncomfortable with those, hence i went with this one which has Li-ion battery.

I love the way the Nikon P100 Coolpix camera zooms so I can catch pics of things like Hummingbirds from a distance with such clarity. I also like the skin smoothing button for portrait shots. It is lightweight and easy to use even for a beginner. A great all around camera.

Zoom of the camera is very good, But very bad photo quality, Image stabalization is very bad. Not a good camera at all.

If someone who is looking for SLR series and not too much comfortabe with that, but at the same time he wants the same results. Then definately P100 is the right choice.
