I mostly use it for outdoor scenics, wildlife closeups, indoor closeups. I have an older 5600 that is very slow, so this is a joy. Power on time until you can take a shot is almost instant. Size is great, quality of pics is excellent. Exposure is great, but not as accurate as my old Coolpix 5600 or my D80S. The biggest drawback is the viewing screen. After three months of use, the screen is scratched and scuffed, and that is from carefull use. Inside of one year I will probably need another camera because of this screen. Maybe I would recommend it to a friend, but I would have to point out this problem.

We bought this as a wedding gift for our daughter. She and her husband took it on their honeymoon and shot over 1200 pictures with great results. They liked the speed, picture quality and size.

Excellent camera, but poor video sound

This is the 4th digital camera I've owned in the past four years and I've got to say, it blows everything away in this pocket-sized category. The large screen, wide-angle lens, 10MP capability and ISO 3200 support all put this model in a class by itself.

There does seem to be some latency between pictures, even with a high-speed flash card, and the controls and menus could be a little overwhelming to someone new to digital.

Increase zoom & I will buy it

I bought 2 cameras (one for myself and another one for my father) and recommended it to a friend who also bought one. The three of use are delighted with it. Great camera... very small and takes extremely great pictures. The battery life is not as good as other point and shoot cameras, but I bought an extra battery and it does the trick

I bought this camera for a trip that I took this summer. It worked perfect on all occassions that I used it. I like the big screen. It's memory card holds all the pictures you need. It is also a nice size, and can be put in your pocket.
I would by this camera again.
