I love the weight and size of the body and the access controls are easy to learn, remember and use.

I haven't found something I don't like about it.

As offered, a less expensive alternative to the D300. I am a graduate of the D70, and this is leaps ahead. Very versatile, complex controls, but straightforward basics. I am willing to invest the time to learn the instrument. Nikon products are cutting edge, and that goes for the D200. It's everything I expected.

Having outgrown my previous digital camera, I was looking for something more sophisticated. I really liked the D300 but it was way too big to lug around. The D200 has been a good balance between size (and weight) function. I learn new things about this camera every time I use it. It will be a long time before I out grow this camera. That said, it takes GREAT PICTURES right out of the box. I got the 18-200mm VF lens..I love it! (but it is a bit slow for hand held low light situations).
