In my opinion Nikon's mass production of cameras is causing them to lose touch with the people that use them.
I purchased this camera mainly to do pet portraits for an animal rescue. Unfortunately the shutter delay and extrememly poor auto focus prevent this camera from capturing anything that is unanticipated. There are a ton of cool features on this camera, but overall it's a clunky brick compared to other brands on the market at the same price.
If you like to shoot scenery or still life- this is definately a great camera for you. If you are looking for a camera to catch a childs face that is opening a gift- or to shoot amazing sporting action- this is NOT the right camera.
Bast advice that I can give: save your money for a Pentax!

I really liked the ease of use and how lite it is.

This camera was a gift, but the person using it enjoys the ease of operation, and the quality of the images is very good too. This camera is a good begginers unit,(at least the camera doesn't have shutter lag when set on programmed setting, or the shutter, apeture,or manual) so it's a good deal for a starter camera or If

Just got back from spring training in Grapefruit league. Awesome pics and high speed repeat for great sports pics. Also amazing pics of the scenery. Love it!

I have been playing around with my camera and taking a variety of pictures for various uses. Still have a lot to learn but will be patient. One thing to love about digital...you can always delete your mistakes and move on.
