Comments about Olympus Stylus 1030SW Digital Camera - Black:

Great Camera with multi function and Rugged & waterproof so I can take it snorkeling.
The only bad thing I encountered was the video sound was so low I hardly heard it, but I have another camera for videos if I want to take them. The underwater videos that I will take should be great, I don't need much sound there anyway.

I use the 1030SW as a backup to my SLR. Great for those situations that might just cause problems for a less tough camera. If it had a viewfinder, it would be perfect.

Comments about Olympus Stylus 1030SW Digital Camera - Black:

I recently sold an expensive DSLR outfit that was heavy to carry and complicated to set up and use. The photographer who purchased my equipment showed my the Olympus 1030SW and I decided to study it for a few weeks. [...]I still haven't had enough time to experiment with all of the various modes and settings that are available on this camera but I have been more than pleased with the cameras performance. It has clearly outperformed the more complicated and expensive camera that I sold. I wish the Olympus 1030SW had been available a few years ago.Not having to worry about using the camera in water, sand, snow, etc. is another great feature. You can take this camera with you daily and just pull it out and use it whenever the urge arises. I have one battery in the camera and keep a spare charged with it ready to go so I can take any shot that interests me. The battery holds a charge extremely well and has a very long life when powering the camera.I am extremely pleased with this camera and now just wish I had more time for travel so I could use it more!

Works great in H2O. Bought this because my wife has broken 3 other cameras through dropping. Took over 1200 pics in Mexico and they almost all came out great.

Comments about Olympus Stylus 1030SW Digital Camera - Black:

I Purchased the product after owning a 7 megapixel Sony camera 2 years ago as a replacement. This camera is great in the pool, traveling and underwater however it lacks quality for standard point and shooting.

I was not a fan of only being able to choose 1,2, 5 or 10 megapixel shots as i usually like to shoot at 7.

The pictures are often grainy and are not true in their color reflection.

Therefore i seem to be forced to bring this camera for any video/underwater needs yet i still have to carry around my other camera for nice portaits.
