I purchased the camera for use on a upcoming vacation. However prior to the start of the vacation I had to document damage to my neighbor's attic. The camera was exceptional in low light. The flash was up to the task of providing enough light to document the damage. The long lens provided clear details of the damage. The pictures were faithful to reproducing the colors in the attic. I can't wait for my vacation to start so that I can see how the camera records those scenes.

I really enjoy using this camera. The built in fish eye lens is probably my favorite feature. I am studying to be a photo journalist and this camera has a more convenient price (especially for a college student) and does every thing a more expensive camera does. The only down side is there is no view finder, but that is not a major issue.

I am a very amateur photographer, but I am trying to learn to get good pictures. I wanted something with some zoom and something that would take clear pictures. I really wanted a DSLR, but can't afford all that at this time. This Olympus is as high of quality as I have found in a point and shoot body, and definitely the best for the price. For the price this is an awesome deal. So far all of my pictures have turned out great! The farther I zoom the steadier I need my hands to be, so I do recommend investing in a tripod, but this is an all around good purchase.

This camera has a great zoom for taking pictures at sporting events yet very compact and easy to operate.

Periodic focus issues at extended zoom. Otherwise, everything as advertised. Very pleased with the overall product. Camera is ultra easy to use if left in one of the "auto" modes.

Use the product a lot for family pictures. Photos are great and clear under different lighting conditions. Battery life isn't so great.

This is an excellent, light weight battery. Only complaint I have is that you need a separate battery charger, otherwise you need the camera to charge the battery.I have a Nikon D200 and I actually like this better because of the weight and ease of use. AND much cheaper but great quality cameraI recommended this to a friend and she is purchased from Abe's - they had the best prices [...]

The zoom is awesome. Good quality photos are achievable. However, it does take a little practice. There are so many options in this camera that it takes a while to learn the best setting for the right condition. The auto setting does a pretty good job on it's own though.

It's a great camera for the price and an excellent camera at any price. It's nice to have the power of mutliple lense without the inconvenience.

I used this camera on vacation recently to capture parts of New Orleans and Cozumel. Great Macro feature allows for the unseen and the Zoom really pulls in the distance pictures. Buy the extra long life battery. The zoom and video features do eat up the battery and this gives you enough power to use all day.

We bought this camera to use on our Yellowstone vacation because it was reported to be a point-and-shoot with a great wide angle zoom lens. We just got back from that vacation and the camera lived up to its hype!

The only downer is that the automatic settings sometimes focused on a part of the shot that I was not trying to get. No matter, though, as the lag time was really low and it gave me the opportunity to reframe and shoot.

The Panorama where more then one shot are linked together is so fast that there is not enough time to line up the photos to make a smooth connection.
This photo was made with the camera and the photos are not linked well at all. I would reather do it myself on the computer.

Great for vacation, extremely versatile, from very close macro to excellent telephoto. Recommend extra batteries if using flash alot.

I used it for photo enlargement and the result is excellent. It's even better than my new Cannon 7D DSLR camera. The photo I took and enlarged it is now the centerpiece of our living room. Great camera and I highly recommend it.

I used this camera on a School cruise and felt very comfortable with it, the automatic panorama feature was very useful in shooting crowds and came out very nice (they were published on a couple of news site) the only hesitations I have with this camera is the size which takes getting use to (I have used Olympus cameras in the past and that is their one drawback) my son in Iraq wants me to send him one so he can take pictures during his deployment.

All in all a good camera but you should definitely use a class 6 or higher card to not get blurry pics.Also grab a extra battery because it only last an hour the 1 it comes with.The zoom is really fun to use and pretty clear as long as you hold pretty still or lean on a picnic table.Pic colors are pretty colorful and clear,but the zoomed in pics are soft looking but OK if you like that effect like i did with a farm i zoomed in on and it looked old fashioned and i liked that look. Very fun to use camera i bought it for the zoom and i would recommend to everyone wanting to have a little fun with photography. [...]

This camera is really easy to use and the 30x zoom is amazing. This is replacing a a 6 year old Kodak camera that took great pics outside but inside it always took pictures that were too dark. If you want a camera that is a step above a point and shoot, this camera is for you.

Overall I thought the Olympus 800 30 optical zoom camera was great for everything but didn't make nice sharp pictures. I think the super zooms are very tricky to operate because of needing a very steady hand, and you need to know how to adjust all the lighting situations. I have returned 2 super zoom camers

small and light,good telephoto and wide angle for size of camera,over all a good camera. one thing thats takes some getting use to is the use of a tne view screen and not a view finder
