Needed shirt-pocketable digicam for 24/7 coverage of retirement community activities for newspaper column plus travelogue illustrations. From well-lit clubhouse, so-so lit bowling alleys and bright sun over tennis, bocce, shuffleboard courts and swimming pool the digicam had to get the jobs done.

From 391 images taken on a two week trip to New Hampshire and Virginia, plus over 100 test shots taken before leaving, the Panasonic DMC-FH20 has provided outstanding results in everything from full tele to scenics to macro to people pictures that I need. Have some difficulties getting sharp action images in poorly lit bowling alley without using flash, as I and bowlers prefer. And I do miss a proper viewfinder...but must admit the stabilization system has enabled crisp iamges even at full tele zoom.

Would like to include samples of FH20 performance but, after four unsuccessful tries to figure out your system, have given up the effort.
