Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2D WaterProof Digital Camera - Orange:

I bought this based on it being waterproof... having to put my other camera in a ziplok bag really limited my photo opportunities. So convenient to keep this camera in an outside pocket when fishing or skiing and grab it easily for photos!

great quick grab high quality camera. no problems with kids dropping, splashing or touching lenses since it's fully enclosed. have taken to 10+ feet fresh & salt water without problem. great pictures and videos in 10' or less depth where light is still adequate.

This camera is great! I have enjoyed the ease of video taping sports in small clips. I can video the snap and the impact off the line!! Loving the waterproof but actually bought it after all my river trips were over (lost the last camera in the Frio River , TX) Wish there was more I could say at this time but I'm still getting used to it!

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2D WaterProof Digital Camera - Orange:

I bought this camera to make pictures in rainy, humid conditions, caving, mountain climbing or scrambling, using one hand.
This is usually associated with rather poor light.
This camera's lens is too slow and flash to weak to get really great pictures in these conditions.
Too many artifacts with ISO>400.
But I did not expected that much from this little box.
However, few things could be made better:
Image stabilization is not good enough.
Trigger is too small (can be used only with bare small hand) and placed further from on/off switch.
There is no flash compensation.
Poor grip: This camera is difficult to operate with one hand.
I like wide angle, decent weight, decent zoom, sharp picture, recessed lens, color choice.

So far, so good. Our young family has used this at the beach, at the pool, and I've been relatively confident letting small ones toddle away with the camera to take pictures. This is a rugged camera- we got more than we paid for.

So far everything has worked as advertized. The rubber glove that fits over the camera provides additional handling capability when wet.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2D WaterProof Digital Camera - Orange:

After reading a lot of different reviews on waterproof cameras, I decided on this one, the Panasonic TS2 with the Orange body color. I just got back from Mexico where the camera saw underwater action in the pool, the ocean and a cenote. It did great in the ocean and pool but fogged up a bit in the cenote, which did not surprise me since the air temp and the camera temp were 90 degrees and the water was 70 degrees. The photo quality is very nice and the video is great. I can't wait to get this back into the water diving again. Next is the underwater case to go even deeper. The bright orange color is easy to spot on the bottom of the pool or ocean if you happen to drop it. Just a note of caution, this camera will sink like a rock if you do not have a float attached to it! Look no further, buy this camera,

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2D WaterProof Digital Camera - Orange:

I am so glad I researched similar cameras before choosing my new TS2. Had I not, I likely would have been disappointed after choosing another product. It starts up fast and is ready for the next shot or video very fast. The video and still image quality is great. I have been showing the camera to friends and family so they can envy me now, and then buy a TS2 for themselves.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2D WaterProof Digital Camera - Orange:

I used this camera on a trip digging 3rd world wells. It was banged up and covered with mud. I got some great pictures even of getting splatted with mud and then just dunking it in a barrel of water to clean it. The Power OIS does what it says and I could take hand held pictures in very low light with shutter times of better than 1/4 second and the pictures came out very clear. I owned the TS1 and have been very impressed with them both. For anyone who is an avid backpacker and has had their cameras die from dust, wet or just plain smashing, this is the ideal camera. It is bigger than the "non-tough" counterparts but for me it is well worth it to not have to worry about hurting the camera.

Comments about Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2D WaterProof Digital Camera - Orange:

I was very impressed by the quality of the pictures in low-light and shading. Takes great landscape pictures and wildlife pictures--perfect adventure camera and I am very happy with the purchase! Only con is the zoom isn't very much but you have trade-offs when the camera can do everything else under the sun. Really enjoy the lenca lens and 28mm wide angle--gives great pictures!
