You can get a remote that is good up to 300ft.

I love that the Shake Reduction is in the camera and not the lense. This means you can use any lense that was ever made to fit the Pentax and still have this feature. I often shoot in wet or dusty locations so the weather and dust resistant body and the Dust Removal system is a real plus. Camera is a bit heavy but I kind of like this, feels like a "real camera", not a toy. The price from Abe's of Maine was great. Paired with the 28-200mm Tamron lense I am ready for almost anything.

I use this camera to produce fine art photo images.
It has shooting modes to cover beginner to semi pro.
I can use my older lenses with this camera
In order to get the most out of this camera, you need to go thru the instruction book and learn a section at a time. This is not a con. There are so many features, it takes time to understand them all. I love this camera. I find a new feature to use every time I shoot.

This camera serves a wide range of users. Ability to use virtually any Pentax K-mount lens ever made is a real plus. It has many pre-programmed 'scene' settings; aperture, shutter, AND ISO priority modes; fully manual and 'B' modes. Many in-camera customizable settings. Weather proof so better protected from dust and rain than standard camera bodies and its smaller format (compared to 'full size' DSLRs) makes it easier to handle and pack. This is a great camera.

I got it for high speed action shots. It did great with multipal shots in the sunshine on the lake. I tried this at a wedding and pictures were dark with the multi shot function. I found pictures to be perfect if I took one at a time and allowed the flash to shoot each time. It is heavy, but the picture quality makes it well worth it"s weight.
