I bought this camera as a gift for my parents to replace their old Canon point-and-shoot. I bought this one for it's use of AA batteries (my parents never remember to charge the Li-ion batteries the day before they use it), the large display, and the easy shooting mode (literally takes all control except zoom away, which is good for my technologically-challenged folks). I played around with it a little bit and seems to have the good image quality of all Canon cameras, quick start up and shot-to-shot time (flash took surprisingly long between shots, however), and image stabilization probably saved shots that would have otherwise been too blurry in low-light/long zoom. Great little camera for the price!
