Inexpensive, quality photos, 6X zoom is just right, but slow lag between shots and poor in low light is too much to take. Now I let the kids use it. Have upgraded to Canon G-11 for myself.

We purchased this camera for our Human Resources Department to take new employee photos which are basically portrait shots. We wanted to have something better than just a "mug shot" for our company online photo album. This camera is better than we hoped for with excellent quality at a reasonable price. Easy and fun to use, with enough options to grow into, but not so overwhelming that even an amature can feel like a pro. Small and compact, but with just enough weight to feel good in your hands. Original batteries were short lived, but the rechargeable ones seem to last longer with lots of use.

This is a nice camera and is worth buying it at a price it comes for. It is easy to operate and understand all it's controls. It does take good quality pics and videos. The zoom and resolution are awesome and perfect for taking photographs of family, friends and scenic beauty.
The battery life is not so good and needs frequent replacement. Even it does have slight lag time.

I really like that I can plug the camera into the audio/video connectors of my television and immediately review pictures and movies I've just taken.
I like the ability to use the camera's auto features right out of the box. Picture quality is superior. The camera's many additional features are deep and complex. The camera has so much depth and versatility that I am again reading the manual for a second time to figure them out.

Its a great camera if you are looking to capture those special family moments. The camera is worth the money you spend, it has a great display, the zoom though not high is still high enough for the price tag.

I have a Nikon I use for sports. I really don't like lugging a SLR around all day for casual photos,like on vacation so the Canon (A2000 is)is perfect to carry with you so when an opportunity comes up you won't miss a picture. I would like a little stronger way to connect the strap to the camera.Overall I am pleased.I ordered the camera on a Monday and got it on Wednesday of the same week.

Ordered camera on a Monday afternoon and received it on Wednesday of the same week.I wanted it for a small second camera. I use my Nikon D70 for sports but it is to big to carry all day on vacation. The Canon A2000IS seems to fit the bill.

I don't have any negative comments. I am used to using a Nikon D-50 and so I am accustomed to a view finder, but the 3" LCD works well, even in sun light. I used and would recommend rechargable batteries and a 2 to 4 gig card

Use when I dont want to carry my Nikon and all the equipment.I keep it in my handbag so I am always ready to snap that picture.It is small and compact but can't do the job of my Nikon and telephoto lenses or wide-angle lens.

like the simple features of this camera. the image size is comparatively huge since it is a 10.1 MP but the quality is unbeatable.

Like the zoom in video mode..which works like a camcorder!

Not great resolution in highest optical zoom but reasonable enough to take a good pic.

I simply like canon, the best in image quality as always. Canon A2000 IS has really revolutionized its "A series" digital cams. They have really reduced the bulky look of A series. I used it in dark as well as sunlight, overall its awesome. Although, it is not as sleek as Sony but whatever it offers is worth getting over Sony. I think I ordered within 10-12 days of the launch of this new model which most of the people might think as a risky move because of its less exposure to the consumer but I am satisfied with it. I feel the features it has with 10 Mega pixels and 6X optical zoom, its all worth.
