This camera, at the price of [$], suits my needs very well. It is very very small, but still takes good pictures. I have only taken maybe 3-4 blurry pictures, usually with lower light, out of the 120 or so I have taken so far. Most of my pictures are of friends, landscape and monuments when I travel, and baseball games. Surprisingly, when I zoomed to 12x with digital zoom, the 4 or 5 pictures I took of the baseball pictcher during his motion came out quite clear. I was impressed. It may not have all the options and bells of the higher priced cameras, but for "normal" pictures it is very good.

This is a great product. The only complaint is that it did not come with memory card for storage. It took time again to go out and purchase this item before pictures could be taken. Made me pause even before I used the product as I felt ripped.

Overall a nice pocket-sized camera. The picture is a little grainy when looking at it zoomed in and full resolution. They've packed a lot of pixels in a small sensor size, so there's bound to be a little noise. But, for the average user who is going to print a 4x6, 5x7 or an occasional 8x10, this is a great little camera for the money.

What a reasonably priced point and shoot that's easy to use! I bought it to replace a dependable SD500 that I was used to. The color rendering seems worse than my old SD500 though and it still has the same flimsy battery and cable port doors. Many other cameras have bigger screens these days too.

I needed a camera to replace an aging Canon Powershot S500. I had searched and reviewed, contemplated and re-reviewed. This camera is just flat-out great for a mini-sized take-anywhere camera. Can it compete with a D50...no...well, maybe. I have a D50 and love it...but when I want birthday photos, and family photos and "quick...pull out the camera" photos, this is the camera you should reach for. Plus, the movies are great with this thing.

Controls sre different than former Elphs. Battery is different and therefore not able to transfer from former cameras. New learning curve for controls.

I am not big on taking pictures, but since getting this camera it seems it's all I want to do. The quality is amazing and the zoom makes you feel like you are right next to subject. I've never enjoyed a camera so much that now I've taken the time to actually learn what features it has. It's the best for the money!

I had my first Canon 1000 stolen from me and I loved it. I knew I wanted to stick with a Canon so I researched the next couple made after the 1000. I decided to go with the SD1200 because I like the controls of the SD's. It is very easy to use and pictures turn out crisper than the previous Canon that I had.
