Overall can't beat this camera for the price. I can't really list any cons because everything is as you would expect for a camera of this price level. Obviously a more expensive Canon camera would be better, but this is great for a point and shoot model.

I have become the designated "Official" photographer for our church. Because this camera is excellent in low light, has stabilization, and is small enough to drop in my pocket, I can always have it with me for any given opportunity . We are already using inside pictures from this camera on our website, and they are bright and clear. It is very easy to use, and I really like having a viewfinder, which most cameras this size do not have. I really haven't found anything negative about it.

Bought this point and shoot to carry on kayaking trips. Have only been using it for about a month and have had no problems. Good color, sharp images, long battery life, and very compact (fits in a snack-size ziploc).

I needed a lightweight but quality camera to take for a trip abroad. I've had several Canon Powershots in the past and decided to get this one. It's fast, easy to use, and delivers very good quality photos for casual, social, and travel shots. It's small and easy to take with me.Don't expect miracles from the image stabilization in low-light. I could get useable photos in a few dim dinner photos, but the images were noisy. I wish the manual controls were more accessible like my previous SD600 to get less noisy shots. The automatic mode tends to rely more on noisy IS images rather than use flash to get better quality images.

This camera is very easy to use. Most of the functions that are commonly used are located at the back of the camera. By using the menu key the rest of the functions can be reached with little effort. Although not really needed to take great pics.
The camera seems to be very well built with a metal housing. Unlike most that use plastic. I like the rechargeable battery and the amount of memory with the sd card.
I really like the fact you can turn off all the annoying whistle's and bells with this camera. I like to take wildlife shots and the silence is great.
My other experience has been with nikon products. I have a nikon 2100 that has only 2 megapixels but shoots a great photo. I have not been albe to compare them side by side yet. But I would expect the canon to blow the nikon out of the water.
In conclusion I think this is a great little camera that is small enough that I will be able to take it with me all the time. The battery life should be adequate to use all day long. If not they are small and cheap enough to get another to take along.

I recently purchased this camera to replace an HP camera. The two operate very differently and I'm still learning. I'm starting to frame people better than I first did. I'm beginning to learn the many features. With is canon camera the pictures are clear and vibrant. Backgrounds look wonderful and my subjects come out well...All in all I like this little camera. Looking forward to learning it inside and out.

This was the best pick. I gifted this camera to my sister and she was very happy with the peice. Its very handy, sleek, easy to use. The picture quality is excellent. There is no lag when you click.
Liked the color and LCD size. Used the camera for one full day and the battery did not die on us.
Loved it. Seeing this camera, my another sister wants the same one. Will be buying exactly the same one in a couple of days as would not want to make her sad.

The more time you spend shooting the more you will want to explore the extra features the camera has to offer. The only limitation is your want to try. I bought this camera for my wife to take on vacation, and she having never used a digital camera before came back with some really great shots. Not all perfect but that's where the want to explore other features comes in. You have something to compare to and see just what they will do. Now I just have to convince her that we don't have to print all 296 shots

I sent this camera to india for my parents.They are able to operate it easily.The Camera is small compared to most of them and it is so small that you can keep in your pocket and no one can find out that you have a camera in your pocket :)

I am a casual, point-&-shoot user. I was very excited to get my 1st Canon due to its great rep with friends who still had the 5mps. Sad to say, this one doesn't stand up to its name. Start up is fast, but the picture quality is just disappointing. It should be in the <$150 range. I had another point and shoot, and I compared the pics, and the lesser-known and -priced brand had better pic quality. The pic clarity, contrast and definition falls short of my expectations.
