Key benefit is size/quality- also starts up and takes pics very quick. No problem to carry and excellent vacation camera. Only hard part was my big fingers and on/off button. Great pics and easy to use settings.

Took to Disney, etc. for week's vacation with a 14gb & 4gb card and 2 batteries. Took lots of movies and pics, filling both cards over a week and only had to swap batteries at end of each day (10pm). While others were scrambling with cameras and camcorders, this had it all.
Definitely captured more pics and was a breeze to use and carry. Pics when shown on big HDTV were really clear and bright.

I've only used AUTO setting so far - camera takes great photos. Crystal clear, bright and accurate colors. Very easy to upload photos to computer. I guess I have to figure out to make photo file size smaller in order to email or post to web. Have not tried video yet.

Overall, this camera is great for on-the-go pictures. So tiny and light, very easy to bring along any time. As with any point-and-shoot, there are some difficulties in finding the correct setting to capture your picture the way you want it (and that sometimes means missing it altogether). The "auto" setting is good, but not foolproof. My biggest complaint with ALL canon point-and-shoots is a flash that tends to overexpose everything. Very tough to get a balanced shot in situations where you need flash. The improved focus sensors sometimes means that you end up fighting with them to focus where YOU want the camera to focus. Overall, I'm very happy with it as a back-up, on-the-fly, fun camera.
