Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

This is a great little camera. It easily fits in a jean pocket, takes great photos and is simple to use. I am still getting used to no view finder but over time I don't think this will be an issue. The only downside is you have to power that large LCD all the time. Also, I heard from other consumers the factory provided battery life is low. I actually bought an aftermarket battery from the start so I have no personal data on this. The aftermarket battery works great. Overall, I am very impressed.

Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

We wanted a small, easy to use compact digital camera, that would predictably produce quality images in various shooting situations. This camera meets that expectation. It also was a good balance in making the choice between a lower price or getting more features.

Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

This is my 3rd point and shoot Canon camera and it is can not be beat by any other product for the price on the market today. The picture quality is great, it is extremely compact and , as always, Canon durability is outstanding. The new Digic 4 processor has improved the speed of everything in this camera. You can spend more money and compare it to Panasonic LX series just to find out that the pictures are better on the Canon.

The perfect camera if you're looking for something small, easy to use, lots of options and not too expensive. With 2 new grandchildren, I wanted to capture all their new tricks and experiences. We were all amazed at the quality of the photos when we went to the aquarium...beautiful!!!! Still difficult for low light, but that is the way they all are.

Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

This camera takes beautiful pictures. The LCD is big so you can actually see what you shot, and the zoom is great. Some settings are located in different places from my previous two Cannon cameras, but they are very easy to figure out. After having this camera for three weeks I accidentally left it in a cab, and immediately replaced it because of how great I think it is!

Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

I use this camera mostly for family pictures and while I travel. It's a fairly compact camera, very easy to use with intuitive controls and a huge LCD screen. I found photo quality to be very good, but the image stabilization wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I also found the LCD display to look a little grainy in low light conditions. Overall, it is a very solidly built camera and I would recommend it to anyone.

Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

This is a great camera, it has plenty of controls for me and a good auto function for my wife. Very easy to use, very quick recyle time without the flash and the delay when using the flash isn't too bad. The picture quality is very good, and with 10 megapixels, there are plenty of pixels to play with when making prints.

Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

This camera was exactly what I needed. I wasn't interested in the sd990 and needed something more than the sd1100. It's a little harder to hold in my hands than my old s500 but the bright LCD works much better than my old 1" LCD. Picture quality is outstanding. The video is okay for Youtube as well. If you want high quality movies, buy a camcorder. If you want high quality photos, get this one. Oh, the photo stitch assist is great and hardly ever used by most people. Try it. Digic 4 includes multiple face recognition and the timer feature can incorporate this- do try it. Overall, I like this camera a lot. It's a little awkward for me to hold because I'm used to other models, but I'm getting the hang of it. I used this mostly for impromptu photos, travel, and sometimes nice photos I can hang on the wall.

Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

This is a great pocket camera, with a nice macro function and a high ISO setting and even a fairly wide angle lens.

The low light shots are a little grainy, and without cranking up the ISO, you'll get the blurrrr.

The screen is fine. The camera is very small in the hands and will fit in your pocket.

Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

This is a near perfect camera for the advanced photographer wanting a fast shot with professional results. The ordering could not have been better and the sales staff was flawless. While it lacks some of the "bells and whistles" of the more expensive models of the same brand, the picture quality is equivalent.

Comments about Canon Powershot SD880IS Digital Camera - Silver:

We bought the Canon SD880IS mainly for travel as we have and regularly use a Nikon D80 with 18-55, 55-200, and 70-300mm lenses. The SD880IS' screen is big and bright in all light levels and it is obviously much more portable than the D80 with 3 lenses, remote flashes, etc. To test it, we took both cameras to watch the recent Space Shuttle Launch. The photos produced with this camera were almost as good as those produced with the Nikon at the same focal length (about 110mm is full zoom on the SD880IS). That says a lot, considering the SD880IS doesn't have many adjustments beyond the 12 scene modes. All in all, this is a great Point and shoot camera.
