Took a bus trip to NY and DC. It took excellant pictures, even out the window of a moving bus! The flash recharge time is long, but you don't need the flash often. A lot of indoor pics were great, even without a flash.

Battery life seems good for the camera, and the zoom is incredible. The camera takes very good pictures and has vivid colors. I don't like how it takes bad nighttime photos, and even with the manual controls I still haven't had much luck. Also I don't like how it takes so long to charge the flash back up. Was hoping for a little more camera for the money, but no disappointed too much.

The camera is light weight and is easy to use. I can see the view screen even in bright daylight. The pictures are wonderful and the movies are EZ.

This camera is wonderful. It can even take amazingly sharp pictures while the object is in movement or while i am moving (like driving in a car). I have no complaints whatsoever. I absolutely love this camera.

This has been my favorite camera. I have had smaller Canons and Nikons, but this one acts like the larger and much more expensive Canon Rebels. The only thing I would change is the flash must be manually lifted when needed. The screen gives a notice that says "raise flash". If I had to buy another camera tomorrow, I would buy the exact same one.

Only real negative is the low screen visibility in daylight. Otherwise, it far exceeds my expectations. Salesman told me to get the faster "Transcend SDHC 4GB Class 6 UltraSpeed" card, and it is very fast between shots. I have taken telephoto night shots on tripod of racoon about 30 feet away, illuminated with flashlight. Used ISO-800, AWB, 1sec, F2.8 and came out great. All macro shots are truly amazing they come out so well with macro setting, given this is a 10x optical zoom. Very very happy with camera.

its a nice camera(point shoot) to own as yr first camera.. or if u r upgrading from a 3x zoom.. the only thing i dont like is the batterries.. hsould be in built nickel or lithium ones

I finally had to replace my previous 10x optical zoom when the retracting lense locked up. the key features for me were the 10x optical and manageable size. I don't want to deal with different lenses but enjoy the ability to zoom in on nature and far off away objects. So far, this camera has not dissapointed. The advancements since my previous 10x (approx 6 yrs old) are amazing. LCD is amazing and the menu system is pretty intuitive. It uses 2AAs instead of proprietary rechargeable which means you can always find replacements but lose a little in battery life I think. Great value and I did a lot of comparisons. I have owned 3 Canon digital cameras before buying the SX110. I was looking for better optical Zoom, particularly for travel photos. I was not disappointed. The 10X optical with 4X digital meets my need admirably yet still in a small package.

Great point-n-shoot camera with great optical zoom. The preset modes (night, sunset, snow etc.) work great for quick capture. The lag time between clicks is quite noticeable, but personally it does not bother me too much. I also tried capturing nighttime images, but am not terribly impressed with what the camera can do. It is a battery guzzler, but with rechargeable batteries, that should not be a problem. I have a little shaky hand when clicking and was expecting the Image stabilization to correct for it - it does a good job but not great.

A friend suggested this camera based on an earlier model and he was right. It takes great photos, is well designed, and has great flexibility. If you just want to point and shoot you can, or if you prefer, you can spend more time composing and adjusting your shots.

I used this camera for my trip to disney with kids. I enjoyed 10x optical zoom,3" LCD screen and using regular AA batterys. Pictures came out very nice. Only one thing that I did not like about was delay on flash for night shots.

My wife and I "settled" on this camera; I wanted a larger digital SLR and she wanted a small camera that fits in your pocket. After we started using this camera, I'd say we really didn't "settle", we both got what we were looking for.

This is a very good digital camera especially when in enough light. But the noise control is not so good when in low light condition. You can use this digital camera to get some special result like Pro photographer get when use mannual function.

it's a good camera for a low price. i got SX100IS, not SX110IS, but they are pretty much the same. one thing though, it's a little slow so you have to wait a bit to take a good picture, if you take it too fast, it's blurry...

I like how Manual mode allows me to manipulate picture brightness and shutter speed. Tough to focus in very bright sunshine.

It is good for beginners and professionals.
For regular (not very high level) photography, it is the best.
Only one cons I found is that it eats too much AA battery.. (Found the solution is Rechargeable AA).
