Well 14 MP was a good boost and I think I can figure out how to use it efficiently after I buy a pack of Li-Ion rechargeable batteries.
Although I can like it, most people will not. Red eye reduction is inefficient. Very short battery life and lags are big issues. I can not recommend it to others.

There are too many choices in this category and I went with Kodak based on previous experience. I am pleased with the camera. The battery that is included is a temporary one. It is still working several hundred photos later. The dial on top has several settings and can be turned without your recognizing it. Compared to my previous camera it feels a bit small in my hand.

I purchased the camera to replace my Kodak C875, which I really liked. I wanted a camera with a decent zoom for sports pictures of my children, but i didn't want anything large, expensive, or elaborate. This one fits the bill for just about anything I could want to do!

The camera does not come with rechargeable batteries or a charger. After including these items with my purchase, I thought I'd be set to go. I could not have been more wrong...after spending [$] on the charger and fully charging the AA batteries, the charge only lasted moments, literally. I purchased a different charger and batteries locally (thinking the charger was defective) and the same thing happened. I sent the camera back after missing the opportunity for beautiful foliage shots on a sunny afternoon in New England. Purchased the Nikon Coolpix after running into a photographer on the trails and couldn't be happier.....

Actually I bought 2 of these camera's - the wife liked the camera so much I had to order another for her mom the intended target as her Canon ELF died and this was a idiot proof replacement with features to grow into as you learn more about photography and digital cameras.
With a little common sense and reading of the manual anyone can take good pictures with this camera - only con is the battery - get the Kodak KODAK Li-Ion Rapid Battery Charger K8500-C+1 - Battery and charger Li-Ion 1600 mAh battery and you have 2 hours or over 240 pictures of battery capacity.

This camera brings together the most poplar features at a bargain price! Kodak continues to provide understandable menu features that helps my 11 year old to point and shoot with reasonable success! I stood in the camera stores for hours trying to decifer menus on the major camera brands and Kodak was the most logical to navigate and understand! Abe's was the only store to have this series of camera at a great price! Nice job Kodak! Nice job Abe's!

I am a normal everyday family photographer, I love my new Z1485, I like the clarity and stability of the pictures. The zoom is good enough for me at the same time of the extras. Recommend buying the rechargeable battery KLIC-8000, normal batteries does not work on this camera. The Red eye fuction does not do too much good, but is not something that a photoshop software can't fix. A little lag if you use the 14mp option, but that is expected; the more MP the more time is going to take to process. Overall is a execellent camera for the price. Recommended to anyone that does not mind dealing with the red eyes.

I wish the camera came with a recarchable battery, so I bought one for the camera and now have a back up batteries also.....
