I was missing photo op's with my DSLR. Pack w/extra lenses, tripod, and all that.....don't get me wrong, I love set-ups but it was impossible to use 24/7. The D-Lux 4 rocks! Great size, easy to use, intuitive menus, excellent image quality. I've gone through half dozen digital compacts yet this one defines the category. The battery pack will fall out if you nudge the door button so remember to put blue painters tape over it (reusable).
