I baught this with a canon sx 120 IS. This camera looks better overall but canon sx 120 is very good in kids and pet or indoor modes where light is low.

Nikon needs to add a NiMH option to the battery type menu. You can still use this type of battery, but, the on screen indicator reads "Low" continuously.

The noise that makes when focusing is disturbing. The lack of the viewfinder is a big minus.
When using the sports continuous mode the streaks of lights when shooting light objects can ruin your photos.
Photos look soft whe printed, if you want sharp photos better learn photoshop.
I would recommended it only to people to enjoy point and shoot photography.

Recieved camera a few weeks back. [...]. The camera takes great pictures. My favorite feature is the settings for action. The camera will take 13 pics a second, if your not careful you can take 40 pics before you even know it. My son is into alot of sports and last year we got alot of pics that were blury. Used it for the first time at a swim meet last weekend. No blury pics and outstanding picture quality. For the price this camera can not be beat.

Decent value for the price. Good for point and shoot. Some special features require the camera to drop resolution to 3mb. Sure wish it had a manual view finder. Its hard to see the lcd in direct sunlight. Much better for low light photos than Nikon's past.

I use for travel extensively and family events and
misc use. Much faster than my old Nikon 5600 and has a great field of view and great zoom. Plus the screen size is very adequate. Overall it is a very
good camera for the money. Would really like to have
a Coolpix P90, but for now this is a good camera.

The camera was very easy to setup and the contorls, operations on the camera are very easy to use. Picutre quality is great I am a cusual photographer but overall I feel it does a pretty good job and the price is right so i would recomend this product for somone who travels and needs a smaller camera with more zoom and pic quality as oposed to a smaller camera with less zoom. all in all its great.

The Coolpix L100 is a great camera - the controls are easy to use and has given me clear shots with wonderful resolution. The 3" screen is the best. Panoramic shots are made easy for you and the software you get with the camera is amazing. The Easy mode adjusts the camera scene automatically depending on the subject. You could leave it on this setting and never fool with the controls. However, this is not a pocket camera it is a little bulky and heavy but well worth it. I haven't tried all the features yet - like smile mode etc. but what I've tried has given me excellent pictures.
