No direction for how to load media card and resolve the message that media card is locked. You have to play around to get the message to go away and be ready for use.

This camera is horrible for taking pictures of kids or any action for that matter. Subjects have to be completely still to get a good shot. I am very disappointed and wish I went with the Canon Powershot instead.

avg. picture quality. good for indoor use. less shake stability. think time is more between two snaps. appropriate value for money. good for beginers.

You get what you pay for. It's a handy little camera to use for everyday events, but you're not going to get really nice features with this little thing. I'm in the preservation/renovation business, so I keep this by my side in my tool bag to reference completed projects. If I need great shots I rely on my SLR.

I especially like the Easy mode. Had a terrible time trying to download the program on to computer. Finally gave up on it and just use "picture gallery" that was already on computer.

Used on a moving sailboat, excellent stability control, able to get clear, colorful shots while on the water.

Overall easy to use and takes great pics, still learning the settings but for now having difficulty with movement of people, lost some great wedding shots from slow walking people

The camera color is shiny and good, nicely built

The Picture quality is inconsistent,
The picture is loading slowly in the TFT screen, it takes 3 seconds to see the clear picture, might be some software problems

I really like the camera, its sharp and with a steady hand takes really good pictures, I am not a shaky person and this camera does demand a steady hand specially in 10mp mode. the battery life is acceptable and the color options , black and white sepia and blue, make for very interesting pictures

If it broke I would buy it again

I bought the camera for my daughters graduation. We are also going to Hawaii and I can't wait to take pictures there. The camera's battery saver does shut down to soon so you may miss a shot waiting for it to come on again.

The most important thing is to practice with lighting and settings adjustments to get a feel of which one to use where. Being a digital camera this and be done on any subject anywhere. The large veiw screen is great.

I love my camera. Its easy to use and light weight. I bought it for myself for Mothers Day this year and i have used it everyday since. It takes great video and the in camera playback is a great tool. I love the cropping feature, however, I wish it did have more in camera editing tools. Sometimes it doesnt want to focus and it can be a little irritating to have to go through and find the right setting (unless you use the Auto feature). Over all I highly recommend this camera.

I love this camera. It is my first Nikon in years. I am all for a camera that is not complicated to use and this one far surpasses my previous "other brand" cameras for ease of use. The pictures are so vibrant they jump off the paper at you when printed! I am enjoying this camera and know I will for a long time to come!!

After first 5000 shots, I can say that this camera is really nice to use. User friendly interface, shiny features. Really a camera to carry always in the pocket.
However, the ones who like real colors might not like some modes since so many image processing is going inside. Sometimes (for example in backlight mode) this processing is so much that things can even looak artificial in the photo. hwoever, this is possibly because of the capability to shoot even very bad light conditions.
Also be very careful about the card you are using. I buy the one recommended by the 'abes of maine' but in every 4 or 5 hundred, 10 of the is simply lost. I do not know if this is a fault of the camera or the card but just be careful!

I love the size of this camera, I love the color and I especially love how easy it is to use. You don't need a PhD to use this camera. I recommend this camera to everyone.:)

Nice little camera. Great outdoors or with medium light. Not so good in a dark museum or closse up.
Video is a nice feature but it kills batteries after about 20 minutes. On the other hand, I've taken more than 200 photos under all circumstances, flash outside, etc with no battery loss.
