I am a college student who was looking for a camera to keep with me through student teaching and graduation. This is the perfect camera for me. I especially like having the ability to edit the photos using the screen on the back of the camera and some of the special effects that are available, such as black and white and sepia.

I purchased the Coolpix S630 as a replacement camera for my wife who by no means is tech friendly. The previous camera was a Pentax that I thought was a good camera but was lacking in many areas for the novice photographer. The Coolpix is so easy to use right out of the box that it seams as if it's one of those box cameras off the rack but with great picture quality and optical zoom. I can't wait to explore more of the Nikon funtions of this grat camera!

Over the years, I have used many different cameras, taking wildlife photos to family pictures. The Nikon S630 is the first camera my wife has been able to use with no problems or lessons. As usual, Nikon has impressed me with an excellent mid range zoom, above average image, and very good in low light conditions. I recommend getting an extra battery and a memory card, since you must recharge the Nikon battery, even though the battery has a long life, and there never seems to be enough memory in any camera.

I love everything about this camera compared to the brick I used to have. We were looking for an upgrade and I loved all of the features this Nikon had. The zoom is fantastic with the megapixels to go with it. My favorite frivolous feature is the smile detector. One thing if your considering the red one, IT'S PINK! My husband isn't really thrilled about that, but I take most of the pictures anyway and I love pink. You won't be disappointed.

I purchased this camera as an upgrade from our current digital camera. I like the size, limited number of buttons, ease of moving through the menus. On the flip side, it does take some adjusting for taking good pictures for various situations. I am by no means a camera geek, but I was hoping for something a bit easier to set-up to take quality photo's in a variety of situations. Many of our first set of pics were blurry and any motion seemed in the background also showed up as a blur in our pics.
