The Intelligent Auto works really well in varyingconditions. Seems to take better pictures withoutthe flash when you let the I.A. do it's thing. Wide angle /16:9 wide screen 12 mp setting takesawesome landscape and room full of people shots.HD video requires a little more light than the lower resolution settings. Adequate light combined with an above average image stabilizer makes for some pretty amazing videos. Microphone picks up sound better than expected. Compared to the $100-$150 dollar Canon, Sanyo, and Kodak models my kids have, the FP8's finer performance and features have made it worth the extra money.
