The photos that result from this camera turn out so well! People do not appear washed out and red eye is minimal if nonexistent. We have taken great portraits of our infant daughter. It is fast enough to capture those fleeting baby smiles. The video function is great and is not low-light like other digital cameras. The menu is a bit daunting at first, but it does not take very long to get the hang of things. My husband was able to take beautiful pictures of a recent snowfall, as well. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase. This is the best camera we have ever had.
